@Spider-man
Cat laughed at a joke and rested her head on their shoulder. She twirled their hair with the hand they weren't holding.
Cat laughed at a joke and rested her head on their shoulder. She twirled their hair with the hand they weren't holding.
Lot leaned against Cat's head. They gave a little laugh at the joke.
Cat smiled. "Your laugh is adorable," She said relaxing against Lot.
Lotus blushed slightly at Cat's comment. They tensed for a moment before relaxing again, "If you say so."
Cat smiled and nodded. "Yep, it is," She said laughing slightly. "So is your blush." She said even though she can't see their face.
"I'm, I'm not blushing!" Lot insisted their blush growing deeper. Cat hadn't even looked up so how did she know Lotus was blushing? Were they just that predictable.
Cat smiled and leaned on them. "Oh really? So if I look you won't be bright red?" She teased not going to move.
"No, I wouldn't be," Lotus responded though it was difficult to get out. Each word taking a moment to say as their blush grew deeper.
Cat just relaxed. "If you say so," she said smirking. She focused back on the TV.
Lot was still bright red and they leaned against Cat. They wanted to bury their head against Cat.
Cat lifted her head and kissed Lot on the cheek. Her eyes closed. "Don't worry I won't look to see the truth."
Lotus continued to blush and then proceeded to bury their head against Cat, "Good."
Cat opened her eyes but looked at the TV. Leaning her head on Lot's head after kissing their head.
Lotus moved their head just ever so slightly to see the TV. They let Cat do what they want.
Cat started playing with their hair again. Twisting it and twirling it in her hand.
Lot started to purr again and they pushed their head further against Cat. They didn't know what to do, but they didn't mind that.
Cat closed her eyes but still listened to the show. She kept her head still and only moved her hand.
Lotus was perfectly still not wanting to break the moment. Myrah was probably in her room so the only people that possibly could were their parents.
Cat raised her head and looked over at the door when she heard the knob jiggling. She glanced at Lotus concerned.
Lotus froze as they heard the doorknob. They kept the TV on but moved away from Cat keeping a distance. It wasn't long until their parents entered. Their mom gave a smile as they saw Lotus on the couch with their friend. She made her way over noticing how their child was a little tenser than usual but chalked it up to the constant stress that Lotus was under. Lotus gave their mom a smile, "Hey mom. How was work?"
"Fine as usual," Their mom responded walking over and ruffling the top of Lot's head, "This is your friend Caterina I take it?"
Cat straightened when she walked in. "Yes ma'am," She said smiling. "Cat's fine though." She folded her hands on her lap and looked up at her.
Mrs. Blossom and offered a hand to their child's friend, "It's a pleasure to meet you. Lotus has never really brought home a friend before. Are you here to work on a project?"
“Yeah but we already finished it,” cat explained not wanting to lie. She glanced at Lot hoping she said the right thing.
Lot gave Cat a slight nod as they looked to their mom, "I didn't think you'd be home today."
"Well," their mother started, "I just couldn't wait to see my girls."
"Mooom," Lot responded curling upon themselves in embarrassment.
"But, since you have a friend over I'll leave you two be," their mom grinned and walked away, "Have fun you too!"
Cat smiled. “Thank you and it’s nice to meet you,” she said smiling. Her smile faltered slightly at the “girls” comment. “Does she not know?” Cat whispered once she was gone.
"No she knows," Lotus responded not bothering to whisper as their mom entered her own bedroom. They shrugged and leaned just slightly on Cat, "It's just a pain to ask her to say children instead of girls, so I've never bothered asking her to change it."
Cat nodded not sure how to respond. “She seems really nice,” she said moving slightly closer to Lot.
"She is," Lot agreed leaning their head against Cat's shoulder. Their dad wouldn't be far behind, but he wouldn't talk to Lotus, just rub their head and then go to where their mother was.
Cat smiled and played with Lots hair again. She tried to focus on the tv but was slightly more tense.
Lotus was also just slightly tense waiting for her dad to walk through the door. They heard the doorknob rattle and they pulled away from Cat again. Their father did exactly as they thought. He walked in, hung his coat up, walked over to the couch, ruffled up Lot's hair, and then walked into the bedroom.
