"Do you want me to be there, just in case?" He asked her softly, letting her go. "Last time you got shot, and could've gotten killed."

She shook her head " I'll be ok" she said

Biting into his lip, he sucked in a deep breath. "I'm trying not to be super overprotective boyfriend here, you need to go before I beg you to let me go."

She kissed him gently and left to Thomas's house

Thomas was pacing back and forth on the front porch, biting into his knuckle nervously. He wasn't looking great, being incredibly pale. Thomas was rather thin too. Something wasn't right.

She walked up to Thomas

At seeing Caroline, he walked up to her as well. No words were spoken from him, getting caught in his throat.

She wrapped her arms around him

He didn't react, only tried not to burst into tears at the contact. "You didn't have to come." He whispered weakly.

" come on Tom talk to me" she said

"I-I don't know where to start." He whispered, his voice incredibly broken sounding. "I haven't been eating, or sleeping. My life is miserable."

" why?" She asked

"I…" Leaning down, he buried his face in her shoulder. He couldn't stop himself from just breaking down and crying.

" Thomas sweetheart?" She asked

Shaking his head, he shook as he cried, trying to relax. The poor boy was failing miserably at that.

She rubbed his shoulders

"I…I don't know what's wrong with me." He whispered, finally managing to calm down. "You- you really didn't have to come."

" when did all this start" she said

Pulling back from her, he looked down to her. "The night I left your house, after you got hurt because of me."

" so this is from me?" She asked

"N-no, I… I've felt so awful after that… it's my own fault." He whispered weakly, swallowing the lump in his throat.

"do you still have feelings for me?" She asked

Shaking his head slightly, he frowned down at her. "No offense, but I lost feelings for you awhile ago. I knew I needed to not be the obnoxious ex-boyfriend."

She smiled " it'll be okay Thomas just stay alert" she said

"W-what do you mean, Caroline?" Thomas asked her softly. He seemed rather confused.

" just be careful" she said and kissed his cheek

"Careful with what?" He asked her softly, sucking in a deep breath from the soft kiss. "I'm still not following."

" don't worry?" She said holding his hands

"O-oh… I… I'll try my best." Thomas told her, glancing down at their hands. "Won't your boyfriend be upset… with all of this?"

" he'll be ok" she said
