Kaiser hiked along the trail, only occasionally pausing to bend down and check the brush for the signs of her quarry. She had currently paused to examine a broken branch. She rose, but something caught her eye. She turned her head, trying to get a better angle to see what it was. "The heck…?"

The little unborn dragon somehow still managed to sense a person nearby. She pushed against the walls of the hot black egg, making little mewling noises.

Kaiser lifted her head at a noise. Was that… mewling?? She got up and pushed her way through the brush, almost stumbling over a rather large egg. She bent down and poked at the egg, retracting her hand once she felt it wriggle a little. "Huh… you're kinda… cute I guess. No mother around…?" She glanced around. Not seeing any threatening mother figures she bent down and gently stroked the egg before picking it up. "Ah, heavy thing aren't ya?"

"Woah uhh…. um…" Kaiser quickly lowered the egg as it started to crack and balanced it on the ground. "You can do it little one!" Kaiser softly cheered and coaxed.

One more headbutt and the little black dragon tumbled out, red and orange flashing from the undersides of her wings. She blinked up at Kaiser,big gold eyes shining.

"Oh… you're so beautiful and small. I bet you're gonna grow up big and strong!" Kaiser praised. "So… where's your mama, huh?" Kaiser looked around, not seeing any sign of another dragon. "It seems you don't have one… like me." Kaiser reached a tentative out to the small dragon.
