"Should we go get your stuff now? You said you needed it for the party." Kyle had been sitting here with Payton for a couple of hours.

Payton nodded, not wanting to leave Kyle's arms. "It's warm here though.." He said quietly, snuggling close to Kyle. He pressed a couple of lazy kisses to Kyle's jaw and sat up, stretching. "I guess we should go, though."

"Or, I could take you up to my room where we could have some alone time…" Kyle suggested.

"Nope! We have to go." Payton hopped off the bed, pulling Kyle with him. "What if I promise to kiss you lots tonight?" He suggested, turning around and walking towards the door.

"That's something I can agree to." Kyle grinned and walked out the door after taking his coat.

Payton raised his hands in the air triumphantly. "Yayy!" He cheered, putting his shoes on and following Kyle to his house. He got dressed quickly and fixed his hair. "Mm..cute?" He asked, turning to Kyle.

"Very sexy." Kyle hummed watching Payton. "I need you to promise me if he tries to do anything or does anything that you will tell or move away from him. It has been on my mind. I just need you to promise me that. So, I know I won't get hurt."

Payton sighed and looped his arms around Kyle's neck, tilting his head a little. "He's not going to do anything, I promise. Don't stress about it all night, okay? There's nothing to worry about." He reassured him, walking back outside towards Kyle's car after grabbing his jacket.

"I hope so…" he whispered and walked into the driver's seat of the car. "You have to navigate me to this party."

"Okay! And if I remember correctly, I wasn't allowed to drink last time." He said with a smirk, looking over at Kyle. "That means you get to drive us home~" Payton giggled, telling him where to turn.

"I guess I do owe for pushing you down to the bed and kissing you while I was drunk. But did it feel good?" Kyle teased.

"I don't really remember. You smelled gross though." Payton scrunched up his nose. "Good thing I drugged you.." He added under his breath.

"Wait, you what?!" he looked over surprised and then laughed. "What do you mean you drugged me?"

"I tricked you into taking a sleeping pill before we made out so you would pass out sooner. You're really gullible when you're drunk." He giggled, glancing over at Kyle as they reached the party.

"Hey!" He pushed Payton's shoulder playfully. "Jeez, you're so dominant sometimes…"

"You sat on my lap while I was driving and then started whining when I told you to get off." Payton laughed, getting out of the car as they reached the house and walking over to Kyle's side, taking his hand.

Kyle pecked his lips before wrapping his hands around his waist. "Come on, guess the party already started."

"Don't get too protective, darling, remember? No one is going to take me away from you." Payton murmured near his ear, pressing a kiss to his cheek as they walked inside. It was calmer than the last party they had been to, most people just hanging around talking and laughing with some sort of drink in their hand, several people dancing as well.

"You ah….go catch up with your friends. I'll wait here." Kyle kissed his cheek.

"Can I introduce you? It doesn't have to be right now if you don't want to." Payton asked, taking both his hands and swinging them a little. "They're really nice." He added with a grin.

Kyle kissed his lips softly. "Well, when you grin like that I can't say no, come on. Show me the way my boyfriend."

"Victory!" Payton giggled, pulling him further inside the house. "I actually don't know-"

He was interrupted by someone yelling his name and then being picked up in a tight hug.

Payton yelped when he was picked up but laughed and hugged him back. "Rowan! I missed you so much!" He greeted in response to the hug.

Rowan had curly, strawberry blonde hair and was about 6'1. He spun him around once before setting him down, grinning widely. "I missed you too, even though I never want to go back to high school." He laughed, ruffling Payton's hair.

Payton giggled and ducked out of his touch. "It's a lot quieter without you. It's weird not hearing random singing when I'm switching classes.

Kyle watched the two feeling pain in his chest, wishing they could be like that. Kyle sat next to Payton flashing a quick smile.

Rowan laughed and ran a hand through his hair. "Such a tragedy." He sighed, shaking his head. "But! I joined this theater group a couple months ago and they're really fun and nice and they're all like me! Which is good cause I tend to annoy people a lot." He said, rambling happily and bouncing on his heels a bit.

Payton talked with Rowan for a bit, slipping his hand into Kyle's, his smile never fading. After a while, Rowan slipped away to go talk to other people and Payton leaned his head on Kyle's shoulder. "What did you think?"

"I think I'll get us some drinks." Kyle smiled and kissed his forehead. Kyle stood up and walked where the drinks were. Stop it, Kyle. Just need to get through this and not get jealous!

Payton's smiled faltered slightly when Kyle left, his shoulders slumping. He felt a little of the excitement inside of him slip away. Does he not like him? Did I do something wrong? He asked himself. I told him not to get jealous. Do my words mean nothing to him?

He shook his head and came back to the table. "Here you go, you said that I am the designated driver, so here you are a nice hard scotch and for myself a water." Kyle grinned.

Payton sighed and looked down at the drink for a second before leaning back and drinking it all at once, immediately leaning over and coughing hard. "Why did I do that?" He laughed, still coughing a little.

Kyle laughed. "I guess you never really had hard liqueur like that before have you?" He patted his back. "You good?"
