"Do you have more you need to do here, or can I pull you away? That crazy god's been chewing at my nerves for a while now, and I think we shouldn't waste any time taking care of it."
"Do you have more you need to do here, or can I pull you away? That crazy god's been chewing at my nerves for a while now, and I think we shouldn't waste any time taking care of it."
Cas shook his head. "No, I'm done here. Sorry to waste your time," he said, getting up to shoulder his bag
"Trust me, this was not a waste." Mike led Cas back to the radio room. "There you go. Do your worst."
Cas nodded, walking up to the radio. He reached into his pocket, grabbing a strange silver and wood key. He set it on top of the radio before picking the piece you talk into up. He held it to his mouth while the key began to spin on its own. Something clicked open at the top of the key, and it stood upright. Something that looked like liquid stars began to leak down onto the radio, and loud, vaguely disturbing static began to come from the radio. It clicked a few times before strange eye-like markings painted themselves on the metal. The static suddenly cleared, and a garbled voice came over the speakers. "Argo, Argo, Argo," it repeated
Mike leaned in the doorway, watching with interest.
Cas spoke into the mouthpiece in some strange language, and the radio cut out. The lights flickered as he talked, and when he finished they went out completely. The white eye markings spread out from the radio up the walls, and they seemed as if they were alive. A few even blinked, some watching Mike and Cas. The lights cut back on, and a tall man in a suit that seemed a size too small stood, coffee in hand and leaning against the opposite wall. Cas turned around, putting the mouthpiece up. "Argo! Good to see you!"
Mike nodded at the man, watching him carefully.
Argo glanced over at Mike, dark eyes squinting at him. Static came from the radio, and a staticy voice came from it. "Who is he?" it said before cutting out
Mike straightened up and offered his hand to shake. "Mike, of the demon hunters. That's my radio you're using currently."
Argo shook his hand, smiling a little. "Apologies. I am mute, and not everyone knows sign language. Radio and electronic communications devices are easiest for me to speak through," the radio played. Cas chuckled.
"Yeah, sorry about that. It can freak some people out, but I figured he would be okay to use the radio in this dimension."
"That's fine, whatever works. So you're the tracker fellow? Good to meet you."
(btw, I don't know if you're still here Jensen, but I think your character's somewhere around here atm if you wanna jump back in)
(idk where he is rn) Argo nodded. "Yes. My name is Argo. I am an interdimensional demon of service to the god Damascus. I believe Cassiel would like me to track an infected god of another dimension. Lucifer, if I'm not mistaken?"
(I'm still here but my chromebook is dying)
(ok lol)
Mike's eyebrows jumped. "Oh, I know Damascus. And Lucifer, by reputation. Huh, didn't expect to meet him on such weird terms. Have you heard what his brother, Asura, is up to? We haven't talked in like a month."
Argo shook his head. "I have been busy aiding Damascus in keeping Molhaven from falling apart. Many of the gods are abandoning it now that Samandriel has gone missing, which has certainly not helped." Cas frowned.
"Is it really that bad?" Argo nodded.
"I'm afraid so. But that's another thing. Now, I believe we have a god to track. Do you have anything of his? Feather, scale perhaps?"
Mike shrugged. "Nothing on me. We can drive back and check the battle scene, unless you have something, Cas."
Cas shook his head. "Driving back would be the best idea." Argo gave him a confused look.
"Can't you just-" Cas cut him off loudly.
"We're driving back to the battle scene now!" he said before walking out of the door.
Mike stepped out of their way, following them outside. "You know, you don't have to be all secretive around me. You clearly thought I wasn't gonna like your healing technique, but that turned out fine. I'd rather not be in the dark about you if we're going to be working together."
Cas frowned. He turned to Mike, lifting the bandages around his eyes. It revealed empty black sockets, and he put the bandages back after a moment. "I'm weak. Possibly dying. Ever since Balthazar left I've been running on borrowed time. I'm also cursed, which certainly doesn't help." He suddenly started coughing, and when it finally stopped he had to wipe away a bit of black blood
"Ah." Mike walked in silence for a second. "Sorry to hear that. Anything I can do?"
"Well unless you happen to know where Balthazar is, or my rings, then there's nothing you can do." Cas folded his arms, looking down at the ground. "How useless is a god of healing when he can't even heal himself?" he chuckled sadly
They reached the row of parked jeeps, and Mike opened up the driver's side of the nearest one. "You don't seem useless to me. If you ever get feeling really bad, let me know, okay?"
(brb, back in a bit)
Cas shrugged. "I've been like this for a few million years now, I'll survive," he said, hopping into the back of the jeep. Argo sat next to him, frowning concernedly at Cas. He turned, fishing a small pocket radio out of his suit.
"You told me it had only been 200 years." Cas sighed.
"Boo hoo, I lied. Doesn't really matter."
(yeah gtg for a bit too)
(aaaand now I have a doctor's appointment, sorry ^^; Seeya later sometime!)
(k, see ya)
"Wait," Yvette said, digging into her pocket. "I have something. It's not necessarily a part of him, but the man who hired me said that it belonged to him. He said that I could use it against him if I needed to."
Cas frowned. "What is it?"
She pulled a ring out of her pocket. "I have no idea. He didn't really give me a lot of information."
(sorry I'm starting to enjoy using Lucifer's ring)
(np lol) Cas took it before handing it to Argo. He frowned at it, sipping his coffee while he stared at it. "There seems to be no trace of him on it. Someone must have wiped it."
"Huh, wonder if Asura knew that when he gave it away." Mike glanced back at his passengers. "So are we going out for something or nah?"
