“No thank you,” she whispered kissing them again.

"For what?" Lotus asked Cat genuinely confused.

“For being here,” she said connecting their lips. “For trying this out and trusting me.”

Lot's eyes closed and they kissed Cat back for but a moment, "I, your welcome."

Cat smiled and nuzzled against Lot. “So I have an hour.”

Lot sighed and gave Cat a pout, "An hour is not enough time."

“I know amore but my tips call for me,” she said dramatically before kissing their cheek.

Lot sighed and buried themselves against Cat, "I call for you too ya know."

“Yes but tips can pay for our next date,” she joked playing with their hair.

"Hmmm I said I was paying for our next date," Lotus responded with a little frown, "You paid for the last one."

“Oh yeah. Fine the one after that,” she said kissing their cheek. She twirled the strand.

Lot laughed a little and nuzzled against Cat, "The one after that. Good."

Cat smiled. “Don’t worry we’ll go on plenty of dates so we’ll both have a chance to pay,” she said.

"Mhm," Lotus responded though a little voice in their head told them this wasn't real. That Cat would leave them at any moment.

“I love you,” she whispered kissing them on the cheek.

Lotus hummed and kissed them, "Love, love you too."

Cat held them close “alright now I really got to go,” she said going to get up.

Lotus whined as they moved to let Cat up, "Okay. I'll see you tomorrow?"

“Yep!” She said pecking their lips again. “Love you.” She waved goodbye and grabbed her bag.

"Love you too," Lot responded as they watched Cat leave. They got up and went to the bwthroom before hwading to their room to curl up and watch videos.

(The next day)
Cat came into first period the next day exhausted. She sat down at her usual desk and put her head down. She hoped Lot was feeling better but she was guessing they weren’t if it’s what she thinks it is.

Lot arrived and just sat down in their seat. They were in pain, but not as much as yesterday.

Cat looked up and smiled weakly. “Hey,” she said. “You feeling any better?l

"A little bit, how are you?" Lotus asked her back.

“Tired. The baby was crying again and Sam got into a fight with our foster parents,” She said. “I think I’m going to sleep at lunch.

"Okay," Lot nodded giving her a slight smile, "So project? How's that going?"

“Well seeing as we got distracted we arnt where we should be but I have a bunch of notes,” she said kissing their cheek.

"That's good," Lot hummed as they glanced around, "And um, can we, uh, cut back on the PDA? Please?"

Cat nodded and looked around as well. “Oh umm of course sorry,” she said smiling slightly nervously. She rested her head on her hand.

"Thanks," Lot gave her a slight smile and rubbed their arm, "I, I just don't want people to know yet. Okay?"
