"You need patched up, no excuses." Maggie directed, pushing her carefully into the chair. "Henry, go get a tank top from my car." She hummed, tossing him the keys. So off he went, to go get what Maggie had asked of him.
" can I at least get a water or something" she asked
"Caroline, come on. You just don't want me to take a look at you. This is important, it could get infected." Maggie hummed, hands on her hips. "I'll have Henry grab you a water while you change out of your sweatshirt."
She nodded
With that said and done, Henry came back in with keys and a woman's tank top. "Here you go, need anything else?" He asked in a hum, crossing his arms over her chest after Maggie took the keys and tank top. "Water for both of us would be nice."
Caroline looked over at brad
Giving Maggie a sweet smile, he snickered. "I'll go do that." Henry hummed out, stepping out of the room in silence. "Come on Caro, put this on." Maggie told Caroline, turning back to Brad to gather some of the medical supplies.
She slipped her hoodie off slipping the tank top on
Once the supplies was gather up, Maggie set it on the table besides Caroline. "It doesn't look terrible. But not good either." She clicked her tongue, pulling out a small flash light she held in her mouth.
Once Maggie had finished the night passed rather quickly and Caroline had fell asleep in the cott that was originally on the the other side of the room out pushed it over to Brad's so they were touching
Sleeping soundly, he found himself beginning to wake up as the meds wore off. Cringing, he woke up in a sweat. “Mmm, Caroline?” He asked softly, taking her hand.
Caroline stirred softly in her sleep her bandages around her shoulder and her side bloody
“B-babe? You awake?” He asked softly, wincing when he turned on his side.
Caroline stayed asleep not sleeping in a few days
Pushing himself up fully, he slid off the counter he had been lying on. "I need a drink." He grumbled, walking out of the back room out into the bar portion.
Caroline could sense he was gone and whimpered
Limping out into the main area, he grabbed a glass, and filled it to the brim with water. "Great almighty everything hurts." He grunted, rubbing his temple cautiously to avoid bumping bruises. Taking in a deep breath, he chugged down the water setting the glass aside when it was drained.
Caroline whimpered some more clenching her eyes shut
Back he went to the room he had been sleeping in, stumbling as he did. Being beyond tired, he was surprised he was still upright. He would've been asleep still, as long as the medicine hadn't worn off.
Caroline was gripping her hands into fists
Looking over to her, he frowned tightly at seeing her state. "Oh babe…" He whispered, taking her hand into his. Pressing his lips to her knuckles, he slowly rubbed her hand to stretch it out.
Caroline soon relaxed before she opened her eyes
Giving her a soft smile, he leaned down to peck her lips. "You can go back to sleep princess." He whispered, running his fingers through her short hair.
She turned to face him
Sighing, he kneeled down in front of her. "You need to sleep, you don't have to get up yet." He told her softly, kissing the bridge of her nose. "Sleep darling."
She shook her head " I can't whenever I close my eyes you come to mind all bruised and cut and knowing that I couldn't had helped you " she said
“Well I’m right here. So you don’t have to worry about me.” He smiled softly, standing up.
" it should've been me" she said
“No, it shouldn’t have been.” He sighed, shaking his head. “I’m suppose to protect you, so I did my job.”
"why are you supposed to protect me?" She asked
