"Did you get someone to look at it?" Lily asked weakly, pulling her hands back quickly from her shoulders. "Did I hurt you!?"

"no really it's all right" she said

Poor Lily was in a state, that would probably take her a few days to get out of. "I-if you're really sure. Did anyone else get hurt after me?" Lily sniffled, leaning back into the soft hospital pillows.

She nodded

"Who? Who got hurt after me?" Lily asked very softly, taking Caroline's hand in her own. "Please tell me, don't shut me out."

" after you was Anthony and then arrow and then Brad and his sister then Kaylee then me" she said

With every name, Lily slumped lower into the bedsheets, her face getting more and more pained. “A-anybody else?” She asked just as weakly from before.

She shook her head " no" she said

"Are they all alright? Nothing too terrible?" She asked a little more hopeful than before. Poor Lily was having a hard time taking all of this in.

" they're okay" she promised

Letting out a deep breath she had been holding, she sniffled once more to try and calm her nerves. "Are any of them here? Can I see any of them?"

" your not allowed to leave bed" she said

"But can't they come in here?" Lily asked softly, smoothing out the bed sheets with a slight frown. "Or are none of them here?"

" no one's here " she said " Brad had it the worst" she said

Nodding once again, she leaned back into the pillows. "You can go, I was useless to you. And I'm sorry." Lily whispered, wincing as she rolled over on her side. She faced away from Caroline, trying not to let tears roll down her cheeks.

" it's alright kiddo" she said

"Love you sis," Lily responded weakly, pulling her long blonde hair over her shoulder. "I'll call you later, if you're OK with that."

She ñodded leaving the room hesitantly

Once gone, Lily let soft tears slide down cheeks. "I couldn't even help…" She cried, holding her hands to her face to stop the tear flow.

Caroline quickly made her way back to the bar

When she pulled up, things seemed dull and quiet. No one was talking, all exhausted from the ups and downs of the evening. Lucas was holding a sleeping Kaylee, half asleep himself. Maggie, Henry, and Brad weren't out in the main room, still trying to patch Brad up in the back. Jasper was sitting there with a flushed face, as Brad's sister was asleep, head in his lap. Nobody moved, or spoke, just sat in subdued silence.

Caroline walked back poking her head through the door of the back room where Brad was

Brad was lying flat on his stomach, face turned away from the doorway. Maggie and Henry were having a whispered conversation, while they continued to fix up Brad. Neither of them had heard her come back either.

" how's it going?" She asked

Both of them seemed to react as if they had gotten caught, and both whipped around. "O-oh hey!" Maggie greeted, adjusting her curly ponytail. "He's looking pretty good, though the cuts in his back aren't going away any time soon."

"yeah I know" she said

Carding her fingers through her darker bangs, she gave Caroline a soft smile. "He's gonna be fine Caroline. We've got him patched up best we can. We were just talking about icing his back." Maggie offered her, pulling her into a quick hug. "It should numb the pain."

" is he asleep?" She asked

"Yup, we gave him some pain meds and he was out like a light." Maggie hummed, stepping back from Caroline. "Speaking of pain, I need to take a look at that shoulder of yours. Sit down missy."

" I'm fine Maggie I've been shot before" she said
