He walked to class, slipping in and taking his seat. There weren’t too many other people yet- most either waited until the bell rang or just before it did to come in.
Connor sat down as well, plopping down and leaning his head on his arms. "G'night. Gon' take a nap." he mumbled, closing his eyes.
“Hah. Want me to wake you once class starts?” Wilhelm rolled his shoulders, leaning back a bit in his desk.
"Yes." He mumbled, already drooping off to sleep, relaxing against the desk with a soft hum.
Wilhelm watched their classmates shuffle in with a dull look in his eyes. The teacher hadn't come in yet, but class wasn’t for another ten or fifteen minutes.
Connor fell asleep on the desk, red curls falling into his face just a little bit.
(Gtg soon)
(alright, gn in advance!)
Wilhelm drummed his fingers on the desk, completely silent. The sharp bell rang out- doing Wilhelm’s job for him, hopefully, in waking up Connor.
Connor groaned when the bell went off, shifting in his seat. "Noooo." he complained in a mumble, sitting up a little bit and blinking tiredly.
Wilhelm snickered softly at Connor’s complaints, digging in his bag to pull out his school supplies. Luckily, it didn’t seem like that period would be too difficult that day.
(should we TS to after classes?)
(Sure! Do you wanna do it, or should I?)
(Do you mind doing it?)
(Not at all! By after classes did you mean lunch, or like…actually after classes after classes?)
(Actually after classes, lmao, unless you have any ideas!)
(lmao alright!)
(I gtg soon btw)
Connor headed to the library after classes were over, wanting to borrow a new book. He also figured that at some point he would find out where he could get a new sketchbook. He knew the library wouldn't have any, but the librarian might know where some were availible.
(gn, gn!)
Wilhelm had finally returned those library books he was meaning to bring back. He now shuffled through the shelves, trying to find his reading for the next week or so.
Connor hummed softly to himself as he combed through the shelves, head cocked slightly to one side. He pulled out a book, flipping through it.
Wilhelm plucked a book from the shelves, walking over to the small seating area to read through it. His dress shoes clicked down the polished marble floor with every step that he took.
Connor put the book back, and wandered around again. He finally grabbed Hamlet and borrowed that to read.
Wilhelm was curled up in a wingback chair, his wild curls barely visible over the chair’s high back. He wasn’t a fast reader by any means, but he was especially taking his time with this book.
Connor plopped down in a seat, opening up his book and starting to read. He had read Hamlet before, but it was one of his favorites.
Wilhelm shifted so that he was moreso draped over his chair than sitting in it, legs crossed and dangling off of one arm while his back leaned against the other.
(I gtg to bed now, sorry. Good night!)
Connor started to read, absorbing Shakespeare's words.
(goodnight!)
He gnawed at his knuckle. This was required reading, but he was interested enough to keep him from falling asleep as he read.
Connor kept reading, mouthing the words to himself as he read.
Bonnie’s tiny, fast steps could be heard clicking through the halls outside. She scurried past the heavy, oaken doors and their elaborate carvings, just a fleeting background noise echoing in the library. Wilhelm’s concentration broke at the little sounds, but quickly return once they faded away.
(I gtg soon sorry)
Connor looked up for a moment, then went back to reading. His voice was still a tiny, faint whisper as he read through Hamlet.
(np, gn! sorry i’ve been responding so late!)
Wilhelm blocked out the sounds of Connor’s reading. He didn’t register that it actually was Connor, given that he didn’t look up, but it didn’t really matter anyway.
(it's okay!)
Connor honestly loved Shakespeare. Mainly because he could read between the lines and suddenly everyone was gay, but still.
Wilhelm closed his book a little more forcefully than he meant to, the sharp noise being met with an even sharper shush by the librarian. He shut his eyes in a grimace, ducking his head away from the noise slightly.
Connor shifted slightly, moving so that his knees hung over the arm and his back was pressed against the other.
