A week had passed and Collins Lily Caroline an ember we're all at her and Taylor's apartment that they shared

(Would this be the start to a new chapter?)

“How’s Brad doing? I haven’t gotten to see him this week.” Collins asked, knowing his friend was probably at the bar with the gang he worked for.

( yeah)
"I haven't seen much of him this week either" Caroline said

“Really? Has he texted you at least?” Collins asked worried. He knew his friend, and this wasn’t like him in the slightest.

"yeah of course he has he's just been busy which everything he's texted me" she said

Collins didn’t seem satisfied, but he didn’t push it anymore. “Is it odd… that I’m like the only guy here?” He asked softly, only now noticing it.

"Taylor's here somewhere" she said

(Me forgetting Taylor was a guy-)

"I'm the only one here, right now." He shrugged, not seeing Taylor. Brad's older brother was a nice guy, giving Caroline somewhere to stay. If it wasn't for his lack of self control, he would have offered.

She smiled " you wanna get dinner" she asked

"All of us?" Collins hummed with a raised eyebrow. Glancing over to Lily, he found his heart leaped in his chest a bit when he did. Causing a warm glow on his cheeks.

" all of us " she said pulling him up by his hands

Stumbling to his feet, his gaze tore away from Lily. "S-sure, why not?"

" yay!" She said and soon enough they were all at Liam's and at a booth when Brad and his gang walked in for dinner

Collins had specifically chosen the seat across from Lily, which happened to be facing the door. "Yo! Brad!" He called out, with a big grin on his face. Turning, Brad seemed to be looking for who called him, a confused look on his face. Though unable to see it from afar, he had new bruises. One on his face, below his eyes, and others covered by his shirt and jacket.

Caroline had a revealing top on and a short skirt with her leather jacket on and her hair up in a high ponytail

Catching sight of the table, he gave a weak smile and a wave. "You guys get a table, I'll join you in a sec." He mumbled, walking over to the group. "Hey guys, how are you?"

She caught one glance at at Brad and immediately looked away she had her own bruises from fighting

"Your silence is rather reassuring Caro, what's up Sweet thang?" He hummed, coming up to her and pressing a kiss to the top of her head.

She looked up at him and frowned at seeing his face Caroline had make-up on but you could see the dark marks that were bruises

"Princess?" He asked softly, kneeling down besides her. Pressing a hand to her cheek, he studied her bruises. "What happened hun?"

" oh nothing what happened to you" she asked

“Nothing of interest.” He hummed with a soft smile, pressing his lips gently to her cheek. “Sorry I haven’t been around, work has got me tied.”

" don't sweat it I've been busy myself" she said

“Really? With what?” He hummed, rubbing her cheek with his thumb.

" doesn't matter" she said

"Fine, I'll have to get secrets from you later. Call you later tonight?" He hummed, raising his brow up in hopefulness.

She nodded with a small smile

"Then my princess," He hummed, standing up. "I will call you tonight!"

She smiled up at him

Pecking her lips, he smiled at the group. "I'll see y'all at school! Have a good evening." He hummed, beginning to walk off.
