Nyx frowned a little bit. "Oh. Uhm." He ran a hand through his hair. "Okay?" He said slowly. He wasn't sure what Jude wanted him to do about that.

Nyx frowned a little bit. "Oh. Uhm." He ran a hand through his hair. "Okay?" He said slowly. He wasn't sure what Jude wanted him to do about that.
(all good!! its also my last week of school so acckkk its chaotic)
"I'm just saying, you can make these little choices, too." He shrugged, his eyes being drawn to a small crowd of people gathering at the edge of the different habitats, looking at the animals on the other side of the glass. "Ooh, a lemur," Jude smiled, pointing up at the animal in a tree and its great brown eyes staring back.
(yuckkkk)
Nyx nodded, then his eyes landed on the habitat. He sped up a little, speeding forward and pulling Jude with him. "Look!"
"Wh– I'm looking," Jude chuckled, weaving through the people and muttering the occasional "Sorry," and "Excuse me."
Nyx didn't seem to notice the other people, moving right up to the enclosure to look at the lemurs, his blue eyes bright and happy and curious.
"Hmm, lemurs," Jude smiled, waving at the one closest and staring straight at them. He couldn't see the board of information from where he stood, so just settled on admiring the animals in front of them.
Nyx nodded a little bit. "They're cute." He commented, leaning forward to get a better look, his blue eyes curious.
"You think everything is cute," Jude said, watching as they climbed from branch to branch, wide-eyed and oblivious to the attention they received.
Nyx stuck his tongue out at Jude. "Do not." he replied. "I don't think children are cute. I think they're loud and obnoxious." he looked at the lemurs again.
"But not all of them," Jude smiled, wondering what Nyx would have been like as a child. "–Like, what about that one?" He suggested, pointing at a sleeping baby in a stroller, with its button nose and rosy cheeks, "Even I can admit that one's cute."
Nyx looked at the baby, cocking his head a little bit. "Well…maybe. But that one is small. And quiet." He replied, shaking his head slightly.
"Well– yeah. That one doesn't know how to make as much noise, it's only a baby." Jude softly laughed, watching a toddler waddle up to the glass, gasp in delight at the sight of the lemurs, and run back to their parents. How could he not want to smile at that?
Nyx shrugged a little bit, looking at the toddler for a moment. It's not fair. He thought. Why didn't I get that? Why didn't I get to be loved and cuddled and wanted and taken to the zoo instead of being in the same four concrete walls…?
Jude softly tilted his head to the side, resting it against Nyx's shoulder. "Don't worry," He smiled, "Not all of New York is kid-infested. We've got rats and roaches, instead."
Nyx wrinkled his nose. "Gross. Not a great range of choices." he replied, sighing softly.
"I'm only joking," Jude chuckled, watching the lemurs walk around their little habitat, "–Well, half-joking."
Nyx sighed softly. "Ugh. Gross." he replied, shaking his head and watching the lemurs too.
"It's okay, though," Jude sighed, dismissing the city's problem with litter and overcrowding, "The better parts of the city make up for it."
Nyx shrugged his shoulders. "I guess so." He replied. "I haven't seen much of it yet."
"But you will," Jude smirked, softly nodding to himself, "For example, tonight we're going to walk around a bit, and later, for dinner, we're going to a secret, tourist-free restaurant that is the coziest place you'll ever set foot in."
Nyx nodded a little bit. "Hmm. Okay." He replied, going over to nuzzle Jude's cheek. He leaned into Jude.
"Mhm, 'can't wait to see your face when you try pizza," Jude smiled, running a hand through Nyx's hair with a pleased expression, "Yesss, New York pizza, it's gonna be perfect."
He smiled a little bit. "I can't wait to try it." he replied with a slight shrug, leaning into Jude's hand, half-melting at even just that simple little touch.
"You'll wanna try a lot of things," Jude said with a little smirk, tipping up Nyx's chin to look at his stupidly blue eyes. Too dreamy for your own good, He thought.
Nyx wrinkled his nose. "I wanna try everything." the cyborg male responded, looking up at Jude with a faint little smile.
"Hmm? Even the rat-infested subway with mariachi bands?" He said in an amused tone, licking his lips and trying not to laugh at the mental image of Nyx trying to navigate the train schedule on a weekday.
Nyx wrinkled his nose again, thinking. "I don't know what a mariachi band is, but…maybe." he replied with a shrug, looking up at Jude.
"It's a genre of Mexican music–" Jude smiled, "It's pretty fun up until the moment when you're reading on a forty-minute ride to Long Island, and you're like, "Oh, a guitar player. Oh, another guitar player. Oh, an accordion player—and then oh no…" He laughed, shaking his head, "It's not exactly fun to sit through."
He chuckled softly at Jude's description. "Hmm. Maybe so." He replied with a shrug. "I can guess that that would be quite annoying."
"It is," Jude said with a teasing smile, raising his eyebrows in a playful shrug, "But since you wanna try everything…."
