(He's good, yeah!)
lenore put on her light blue gloves.
Natalie walked down the hall to Lenore's room. "You ready?"

lenore replied.

(i think it was a victorian era thing)
Alicia met the princesses in the hallway outside of the ballroom in her pale pink velvet dress. Her hair was down, though her maids had insisted on putting in a few silver butterfly pins on the edges. She smiled and bounced on the balls of her feet, waiting for the girls. When they rounded the corner, her heart skipped a beat. She ignored it.
"You look amazing." she said to both in turn.
Jonah nodded, somewhat impressed at the Prince's sudden ability to pick out a fashionable outfit. "Good, good. I'm surprised you made it this far without needing my help."
Natalie smiled at Alicia. "So do you!" Then she turned to look behind her. She bounced on her feet a little, anxious for Jonah's reaction.
Cadmus waved the attendant away. "Well, I'd pick better ones if you'd intervene less." He said, walking down the stairs to find Natalie and Co.
Alicia looked up and grinned when Cadmus and the birthday man walked into view. Her grin slipped a little when she saw that Jonah was dressed casually, as usual, but she shrugged it off.
"So, are we ready for the big presentation? No one messes up tonight, or me and Jonah will be held accountable, deal?" she huffed.
Cadmus laughed. He walked downstairs.
"Nice outfits, ladies!" He said!
Natalie ran to catch up with Cadmus, slipping her arm through his when she did. She giggled. "I can't believe that he bought this! And you look good too."
"Thanks!" Cadmus said, sincerely. "Nice touch with the flowers and heels!" He stated.
After having lost her way to the palace, of course, Trenna finally made it to a servant's entrance. She didn't want to be late walking all the way around to the front, and walking through the giant double doors scared her, so she slipped in through the small door.
Natalie smiled. "Thanks. How do you think that Jonah will react?"
"I hope he'll like this!" Cadmus said. He sighed.
Jonah stood off to the side of the group, watching them enviously and humming a soft tune under his breath.
Alicia linked her arm with Jonah's and gestured for everyone to approach the doors. "Just smile." she told him, holding back a laugh.
Cadmus looked up.
"Natalie!" He said. it's starting! "
"Smiling is weird," Jonah replied, smiling anyway. Alicia was… cool.
Natalie nodded. She slipped into the ballroom before Alicia and Jonah, beckoning to Cadmus and Lenore to follow her.
Alicia marched Jonah into the ballroom, and suppressed a gasp. Lush blue curtains trimmed with gold lined every window; ornate wood tables had been brought in and each presented an overflowing bouquet of lilies, food and drink tinted gold and flowing blue lace tablecloths… (I'll let someone else decide some decoration)
lenore followed her sister into the ballroom.
gasping at the flowing light blue curtains.
her kitten meowed from under her skirts.
shh she whispered.
(hey.I think the decoration is great.)
Jonah gazed in awe at the ornately decorated room. He'd never seen it like this before! His favourite colours, his favourite flowers, his favourite refreshments, it wasn't too fancy…
"Wait," Jonah deadpanned, stopping short. "What's really going on?"
Alicia giggled, nudging him gently. She waited for him to understand.
They remembered…
"You guys… You all did this?" Jonah began to feel tears welling up but for once didn't care to hide them, instead letting them trickle down his face. "For real?"
Natalie let out a carefree and happy laugh. "How could you ever think that we would forget? It was hard to keep this a secret from you."
