She blushed and pulled out her phone

"Whatcha doing gorgeous?" He asked in a hum, glancing up at her.

She pulled up Collins contact can you pick me up

"Babe?" He asked, noticing she ignored his question.

" uh what?" She asked

"Whatcha doing?" He asked again, a smile resting on his lips.

" I'm getting picked up "' she said

"I can drive you babe, I was going to offer." He told her, not sitting up from his spot. He just laid there, admiring her.

" but I'm hungry and I haven't talked to Collins in a while" she said

"Oh, alright. I get it." He smiled softly, patting her leg gently. "You should probably get all fixed up before he gets here." He hummed, sitting up now.

" I'm hoping he'll take me to his house so I can get some of my clothes" she said

"Couldn't you have Lily drop them off somewhere? I don't like the idea of you going there." He told her, reaching out to her.

" why not?" She asked

"If your parents are there…" He trailed off, looking at the bed sheets.

"Brad I don't think you heard me his house not mine" she said

He blinked, and mentally filtered through the conversation. "Good grief, I'm sorry." He laughed, laying back on the sheets. "I need to go take a nap, yeah, that's fine." He hummed, his eyes falling closed.

"I'll probably crash at his place his bed is kind of big" she said

Brad's face scrunched, but he didn't say anything about it. "Yeah, sounds good." He mumbled, opening his eyes once more, to look up at her.

" Alright" she said going to get off the bed

"Wait~" He whined, pouting slightly. "I want my kiss, or something."

She leaned over and kissed him

"I feel like you're leaving so quickly." He mumbled, holding onto her shirt loosely.

" oh baby" she said flicking his hair away

"I really do though, why can't you just relax?" He asked softly, petting her cheek.

"because I'm me and I feel that if I stop for one second that everything's just going to start piling on top of me"

"Yeah, but if you can't stop, to focus on one thing, then what are you going to do when you lose it?" He asked her softly, not even meaning it the way it sounded.

Caroline backed up " Then I guess that's one thing less to worry about" she said

"Is that really what you think?" He asked, curious. He hadn't exactly thought of it that way.

"yeah I do" she said firmly

"Oh… well what if it was a person?" He asked, hypothetically.
