"I just want to kiss you…" he whispered. Kyle looked back down trying to move out of Payton's arms.
"I just want to kiss you…" he whispered. Kyle looked back down trying to move out of Payton's arms.
Payton only protested a little, too tired to make an effort to make Kyle stay. He frowned sadly and withdrew his arms, eyes still closed.
"It's okay you can sleep," he smiled and stroked his hair. Kyle stood up and moved Payton so his head was on the pillows. Kyle sat back on the floor and threw a ball up in the air.
Payton fell asleep and stayed that way for an hour or so before slowly waking up. He blinked sleepily and reached out for Kyle, wherever he was.
Kyle looked up and saw that he was awake. "Hi, do you feel any better now?" he asked leaning over the bed.
Payton rubbed at his eyes and wrapped his other arm around Kyle, pulling him towards him. “A little I think. What time is it?”
He moved his arm and stood up again. "It's 10:30, we can still make it to that Math test?" he suggested.
Payton moves away from him reluctantly. “Sorry..yeah it’s after lunch.” He said quietly, sitting up and running a hand through his hair.
“Sorry for what?” He asked raising an eyebrow. He threw him a pair of socks to put on.
Payton smiled at him, taking the socks and slipping them on. “Just for sleeping that long.” He replied. I just want him to hug me..
“It’s no problem,” he smiled. He put on his shoes and gave Payton his. “Once you put those on let’s get going.”
Payton nodded and put them on, standing up and brushing himself off. He silently followed Kyle back out to the car, reaching forward and taking his hand hesitantly.
Kyle smiled quickly before helping him in the car. He got in on the other side and drove to the school with two hands, which he never does.
Payton looked out the window, squeezing his hands together in his lap. I thought we figured everything out.. He thought, getting out of the car and looking down at the ground.
He drove to the school and parked. Kyle ran a hand through his hair. "Ready?" He continued to look forward.
Payton nodded, walking towards the school and looking down at the ground. Maybe he just doesn't feel like being affectionate right now..maybe I disgust him… He thought, sighing softly. I'll talk to him after school..
He kept his hands in his pockets as he walked. "Do you want to go somewhere for free period"
"Whatever you want!" Payton replied, sounding cheerful and hoping his "good mood" would rub off onto Kyle.
"Wait, I meant lunch. Let's sit in the outside lunch tables." Kyle grinned before looking back up.
Payton nodded, smiling a little for real now. “Let me just put my stuff away, I’ll meet you out there.” He said, walking towards his locker.
He nodded and walked towards the outside tables. It was a nice day and no one had been outside. He smiled and rested his head on the table. "How am I going to get through this!" he yelled.
Payton breathed a sigh of relief once he got out of sight of Kyle. Thank god..he's not mad at me. He put his stuff away and headed back outside. He sat down next to Kyle and patted the top of his head. "What's wrong?"
"Huh? Oh, it's nothing…" he moved his hand away, fighting temptation. "So did your Mom pack your lunch?"
"No, usually I do it the night before cause I know what I like. I usually just have a salad though." He said, pulling out some food and handing some to Kyle.
"Thanks," he started eating the food given to him. "You always work this hard for your siblings?"
Payton shrugged. “Usually. Macy can handle herself except for driving and my dad drives Lily to school so I look after the twins.’
He nodded. "Well, call me if you need any help okay?" Kyle smiled softly. "I'm almost always free."
“Thanks, I’ll keep that in mind. Lily loves you so much, she’ll probably call you before I get the chance.” He giggled, nudging his foot against Kyle’s before starting to eat.
"Of course! She has to be just like me when she grows up. I'm hoping she'll have a beautiful love story involving drama, a cute girl, and love!" he yelled with a laugh." Kyle nudged his foot back, making sure not to get carried away. "I bet 20 dollars that she comes out as a lesbian."
Payton burst out laughing, leaning against Kyle slightly. “She’s not even in first grade!” He replied, shaking his head. “Why do you think she’ll like girls?”
