"Why don't you talk to that lazy lump of a cat?" Marthtail blurted, glancing out the den.
"Why don't you talk to that lazy lump of a cat?" Marthtail blurted, glancing out the den.
"What? Jaysong? Or my father?" She was confused. Who could he be talking about?
"JAYSONG!!" Marshtail exclaimed. "So you think your father is a lazy lump of a cat?!"
(Is her father Crowstipe?)
(Yes)
"No! Of course not! I-I just thought you did, from what you said earlier…" Finchpaw looked away, feeling a bit guilty.
"Well go talk to him about 'how to get a female'," He muttered, "He's been bothering Whitefire and he has no flirting skills what so ever and I don't like it how he's annoying her! Go… Go, go, go, go, go, go, go." He stood up and pushed Finchpaw out the den, "Go help the dummy out!"
Finchpaw was startled by Marshtail's brashness, but went to find Jaysong anyways. "Er, hello, Jaysong. Marshtail wanted me to talk to you?"
The gray tabby tom turned to meet her gaze, but sadly it was blocked why the robin's wing that he was eating. "Errrr," Placing the bird down he greeted her, "Uh, hi Finchpaw, whats us?"
"He… h-he mentioned Whitefire, and asked me to, I dunno… Give you advice? Or something?" She looked away, a bit embarrassed. Does he really think I know anything about flirting? I'm a medicine cat, for Starclan's sake!
"Uh, ok??" He looked very much confused and a little disappointed, "Who told you to give me advice?"
"Marshtail. I don't really know what he expects me to do, though." She laughed weakly. "I haven't the slightest idea what I'm doing."
"Wow, me too!" Jaysong said, quite relieved, "But do you know of any way that will get Whitefires attention?"
(Gtg, goodnight)
"Well, I know her favorite flowers are lilies, so she'd probably appreciate some of those. And when you gave them to her, you could say, 'For the prettiest flower I've ever set my eyes on.'?"
His face when blank for a second, then lit up like a kit, "That's A Wonderful Idea!!" He purred, headbutting Finchpaw, he darted out the entrance of the camp.
I think I did something right? Finchpaw sat in silence for a bit before padding back off to the elder's den.
"You talked to him?" Marshtail asked, sitting at the entrance of the den.
"Yeah, and he's run off to find her. I think I did something right? Either that or horribly wrong. There's a pretty fine line between the two, don't you think?"
He let out a snort at her comment, but then stopped and thought about it, "Maybe…. I'm mean they are different cats and different genders, but yeah, there are a few similarity between them."
"I dunno, I suggested that he give her some lilies, since they're her favorites."
"Uhhh, flower.." He muttered, rolling his eyes.
"I like flowers," Creeksong added, pocking her fluffy gray head out the den, "Too bad you don't give me any."
"Pollen makes me sneeze sometimes, but I deal with it. I'm a medicine cat after all, so i'm bound to run into a bit of pollen."
Creeksong padded up to her mate and gave him a little push, as if to say 'Where are the flowers honey', "Well if you find some really nice flowers I would love if you could bring them here."
"I would be delighted to. what are your favorite types?" Finchpaw stretched her paws out in front of her, yawning a bit.
"I like lavender, and if not that, water lily, their all so pretty."
"I agree. I love flowers and herbs, I spent a lot of time in the medicine den as a kit partially just because it smelled so good in there! It was also a way to avoid fighting with my siblings. Both were determined to be strong warriors." (When will they be going to the Moonpool for her to become a full medicine cat?)
(Soon. They can be traveling to the moonpool, but once they get there they get attacked by a ?fox? But the other med-cats aren't there so Silverbrook died protecting Finchpaw and then she give her her med-cat name in starclan.)
"That's nice." Creeksong purred, "But if you mind, I better go back in." Then she darted back into the den.
(Sounds good to me)
"Alright, I should be heading back to the medicine den now. See you guys later!" Finchpaw got up and stretched before padding off to the medicine den, welcomed by the scent of herbs.
"Did they need anything?" Silverbrook asked, padding out the back of the den.
"Well, Marshtail had me go give Jaysong flirting advice." She shrugged. "Rather strange, I'd say, but now Jayson's off to go find some lilies for Whitefire, so I guess I did something well enough?"
She purred as Finchpaw finished, "Yes, yes, you did a good job, but lets hope next time Marshtail would ask someone else to give flirting advice."
