"Don't worry, Joanie has extra clothes." He smiled, and scooped her up. "She won't mind, she looks after teens all the time. Cleans them up, houses them, gives them clean clothes. She always has a pair of sweat pants at least." He hummed, holding her close in his arms.

"What for babe?" He asked, bringing her into the empty spare room. He set her down on the bed, and crouched down in front of her.

"You can't help that Princess." He smiled, holding his hands to her waist. "But I have an idea to distract you from the pain."

He stood, and turned to the closet. Pulling out a pair of shorts, he tossed them at her. "Can you put those on, or do you need help?"

"I can help you, I just don't know how uncomfortable that would make you." He said softly, turning to face her.
