she shook her head violently

"What if they come back?" Brad asked softly rocking her still.

She didn´t say anything just sobbed

Brad fell quiet, and just let her sob. “You’re ok darling… you’re ok.”

she gripped him tighter

He kissed the top of her head gently, nuzzling his nose into her hair.

she sniffled tears rolling down her cheeks

“Better now princess?” He asked, rocking still.

¨Theres a bullet in my leg¨ she said.

“I know, we need to fix that.” He whispered.

¨Not here¨ she said.

“I was going to take you to a hospital.” He told her, looking at the frail girl in his arms.

she shook her head ¨Just remove the bullet and aid it¨ she said.

“But you said not here.” He told her, petting her cheek.

She looked up at him

"Where do you want me to do this?" He asked her, sliding the cuff of her jeans up.

" not here and don't take me to the hospital" she said

"Then where?" Brad insisted, trying to help her up in the best way he could.

" I don't know" she cried

"Babe, I need you to take a deep breath, and think for a minute." Brad told her, petting her cheek.

"No…No No hospital' she cried

"No hospital? OK, so what about in your bedroom?" He asked softly.

" They'll come back" she said

"Princess, you're making this difficult. I need you to tell me where to take you." He whispered, petting her cheek. "Give the words and I'll take you."

She looked away " Just go" she said

"I want to help you." He said, getting exasperated.

She started to limp out of the room

"Caro, come on babe." He said quickly, running up to her. He ignored the shooting pains in his ankle, and scooped her up. "You're just confusing me."

" I need to leave and get off your ankle" she said

"I'll take you. And I'm not doing that." He said, carrying her out, and through the door. "We'll go… somewhere. I know where."
