help me I’m running. I have 2 minutes left of notebook.ai time ;-;)

“It’s a nice place.” Aaliyah murmured, “Once in a while, you can feel the breeze blow through your hair.”

Lucas sat by the tree trunk and leaned against it. He was always tense, but he was trying to relax, at least.

“Good bye.” Aaliyah said, climbing up the branches.

"Where are you going?" And now he was anxious again. He was distrustful of trees after the 'incident' from earlier. His chest was still sore.

“Up the tree.” Aaliyah said, point our the obvious. “I’m finding a comfortable and sturdy spot.”

"Er, i-isn't it more comfortable down here?" Lucas offered. "You know, grass. No fear of it collapsing beneath you."

Aaliyah laughed, “Fine.” And then she jumped off the branch. (Wow smart, Aaliyah.)

Lucas jumped a bit when Aaliyah fell towards him and he stumbled out of the way. If he were in his human form, he could take the impact, but his dog form would be crushed.

“Whoopsie.” Aaliyah said, “Are you good?”

"Y-Yeah, fine." He sat back down, slightly shaken. His fur was ruffled at this point.

Aaliyah laughed again and took a seat, “Somehow, daises grow here.”

"Mhmm…" Lucas lay his head on Aaliyah's shoulder, closing his eyes. He was exhausted, both from the events from earlier and simply shapeshifting.

Aaliyah didn’t move, like she usually did when someone leaned on her. She closed her eyes too. It was so peaceful.

But was it too peaceful?

Hopefully not…
