Atlas smiled against Nikolas' skin. "I just… want to meet the friends you keep talking about. They sound wonderful." He said softly, gently muffled by Nikolas' neck. He ended up placing a tiny kiss into the crook of his boyfriend's neck, smiling the whole time. Atlas had dropped his friends right out of high school since they hadn't actually been real friends and he never made the effort to make more since he went right to music. So he was excited to meet Nikolas', he knew they had to at least be decent people since they were Nikolas' friends and not his manager's friends or something.
Nikolas smiled happily at the feeling of Atlas' breath on his neck, as well as the kiss planted there and the smile he felt against his skin. "Well, in that case, I better call Tess. She'll gather the gang, since I know she'll be bored." He hummed and thought about something. "I'm thinking I'm going to leave you as a surprise for when we meet them. I might have to protect you from Tess' prodding though…" he warned with a soft laugh. All of his friends were ones he would trust with his life in serious moments, but almost all of them were goofballs that loved to test their limits in the 'trouble' department. Nik oftentimes played the role of the bouncer, keeping them from doing anything stupid. It was all in good fun, though, and they wouldn't do anything too extreme.
Atlas giggled, excited to meet his friends. "That sounds like fun! I love surprises, even though I'm not the one being surprised." He said, lifting his head to look at Nikolas. He was definitely more motivated to get up than before, but definitely not enough to get up at the very moment. "Do you have you're phone with you right now? If so you could always call her now and maybe we'd actually get ready instead of lay here on the floor all day." He said with another giggle. He loved that they could be literally laying on a floor and they'd still be happy.
Nikolas grinned when he got to hear Atlas' adorable giggles, happy to see that he was okay now. He reached up to lightly pull down the other's bottom lip, then let go with a hum. "It's downstairs," he said, knowing that they had to get up to start the day, even though he didn't want to. However, if he did get up, he could introduce Atlas to a group of people that he loved dearly, and who would love him and accept them as their own almost immediately. They were the kind of people that didn't make friends that often, but the ones they did have were like family, and they protected and defended each other without fault. If one made a new friend, the others would welcome them without hesitation and treat them just the same.
"Ohhh nevermind, we're gonna have to stay here forever!" He said dramatically, but laughing again afterword. Atlas was very eager to meet Nikolas' friends though, so it wouldn't be long before they would end up getting up. "But I really wanna meet your friends, soo… we should get up I guess." He said with a sigh. He sat up, keeping Nikolas in his arms though.
Nikolas laughed softly and sat up with Atlas, stealing a kiss from his lips. "Don't look so disappointed this time and maybe we'll get something done," he said with a crooked smile, then kissed him again before wrapping his arms around Atlas and adjusting him so that he could easily stand up while holding the other male. He grinned and set Atlas down onto the edge of the bed, palms pressed into the mattress on either side of him so he could lean over him.
Atlas smiled, deciding he would actually finally get something done without guilt-tripping Nikolas into staying with him. Although, he did drape his arms over Nikolas' neck. He leaned up, planting a long, soft kiss on Nikolas' lips. He gazed into his eyes for a second, admiring them, like always. He then slipped through Nikolas' arms and plopped himself back on the floor to look through the clothing trunk.
((Hello! So, I've actually hit quite the mental block, so I'm taking an indefinite hiatus from nb to recharge my brain and get the creative juices. I hope you don't mind!))
Nikolas happily kissed Atlas back, then chuckled and watched him slip away and sit on the floor. "You're adorable," he cooed, leaning down to plant a quick parting kiss to the top of Atlas' head, then ruffled his hair and slipped away to the bathroom to get his shower. If he stuck around to grab his clothes, he'd likely get caught up with Atlas again, and that wasn't exactly as productive as they wanted to be.
((Hi! I'm sorry to hear, but take as long as you need! Just not tooo long lol. I don't mind at all and I totally understand!))
Atlas smiled sweetly as he turned his head in time to watch Nikolas go out the door. He sighed, possibly missing Nikolas already. Eventually, he turned his head back to the trunk and started carefully digging through it. Most of this would probably be a bit too big for him, but he definitely wouldn't mind. After a bit of searching, Atlas found a shirt that he liked, baggy on him, that had a skull with flowers scattered around it. He found anything else he needed before changing into the clothes. He smiled and flopped back onto the bed.
(Guess who's back?? At least temporarily, lmao)
Nikolas headed downstairs to the bathroom, then started the shower and stepped under the water. He didn't want to take too much time, what with Atlas waiting for him, so he made sure to go quickly as he washed his hair. Tess knew how to dye hair, she's done his multiple times, so maybe she'd be able to do Nik's? If Atlas was set on doing the rainbow pastel—which would be absolutely adorable—then they'd probably have to get that done professionally to avoid screwing it up.
Soon enough, he was out of the shower and drying his hair and body off with a towel.
(Yay! It's nice to have you back, even if it is actually temporary. :)
Atlas stared at the ceiling for what felt like 10 minutes, but in reality, it was a lot less. He rolled over and lied on his stomach. closing his eyes. The bed was unbelievable comfortable, he was glad to be able to sleep on it. It was also unbelievable that he got the absolute best boyfriend he could wish for in less than a week. Reflecting on the whole situation, he was surprised he didn't scare away Nikolas with his forwardness and impulsiveness, which had definitely happened in the past with someone he had liked at the time.
((Aww, thanks! I just needed a mental recharge, and I'm doing better now))
Nikolas eyed himself in the mirror for a little bit, unable to keep the dopey grin off his face as he thought about the man undoubtedly lying on his bed right now. While he was marveling at his own willingness to fall so quickly for someone, he slowed down his thoughts and sorted through it all. Atlas was amazing, that was a blatant fact. He loved music just as much as Nikolas did. He was impulsive, which let Nikolas knew what he was thinking and wanted. He was adorable, so kind and fun to be around. Nikolas genuinely loved Atlas, and he wouldn't take back any of it if it meant he wasn't with Atlas.
With that revelation and a smile, Nikolas wrapped the towel around his waist and headed upstairs, knocking on his bedroom door. "Miss me?" he teased through the door, grinning, as he waited for Atlas to answer him.
(Oh I'm so glad you're doing better! Sometimes just a bit of time off does a lot.)
The instant he heard Nikolas' voice, Atlas rolled around and sat up, smiling. "Oh man, I missed you probably too much." He said with a giggle. Just as quickly as before, he jumped off the bed and basically ran over to Nikolas. He wrapped his arms around Nikolas' bare torso, looking up at him with a bigger smile than a second ago.
Nikolas chuckled and instantly hugged Atlas back, smiling down at him as he dipped his head down to lightly peck his boyfriend's lips. "Mmm, an unhealthy obsession," he teased with a grin, then gently pressed his thumbs into Atlas' hips to hint that they should probably peel apart. "Alas, I need to get dressed."
"It's not unhealthy, I just love you." Atlas said as he squeezed Nikolas once more then pulled away so Nikolas could get dressed. "Speaking of clothes, is it okay for me to wear this?" He asked, even though Nikolas had said that he could wear anything in the trunk.
Nikolas rolled his eyes, though he did smile at the first comment. "You can wear whatever of mine you want," he said, then leaned in to quickly press a chaste kiss to Atlas' cheek. "And I love you too." With that, he fished for a simple v-neck tank top and a pair of jeans, as well as some undergarments. His eyes flicked up with amusement to the other male's, and his brow arched up as he twirled a finger in a 'turn around' motion.
Atlas smiled at Nikolas' comment and nodded. "I'm actually gonna go look for something to eat, I just realized how hungry I am." He said before turning around and heading to the door then down the stairs. He let his hand run against the walls, still amazed at this house. It was absolutely beautiful and it was amazing that Nikolas had found it and put in the effort to fix it. He got down to the living room area and just looked around, a soft smile on his lips.
Nikolas watched Atlas leave, then followed after him so he could close the door. Now alone, he quickly pulled on the clothes he had pulled out and ruffled his hair in a half-hearted attempt at "brushing" it. The strands simply landed wherever they wanted, mostly in his eyes. He shook his head with a soft huff of laughter, then opened the door back up and headed downstairs. Atlas was the first thing Nikolas fixated on, his boyfriend looking around as if in awe with a small smile. Nikolas smiled as well and leaned against the railing, arms crossed over his chest and eyes watching Atlas.
Atlas' back had been facing Nikolas, but he soon turned around, still looking at the house. His gaze focused on Nikolas once he saw him. His smile, of course, grew and he walked over to his boyfriend and wrapped his arms around him once again. "This place is just so beautiful, it's amazing that you put in the effort to make it livable and stuff. It looks even better in the daylight, now that I can see the details and that kinda thing."
Nikolas grinned, unable to hide his smile, as he uncrossed his arms to wrap them around Atlas. He absolutely melted into Atlas whenever the smaller male held onto him like this, and he couldn't help but want to stay like this forever. Atlas was just so cozy. "Aw, I wouldn't say it's amazing," he said, looking off to the side in slight sheepish embarrassment, "But I'm glad you like it. It was a fun project that kept me busy." His eyes flicked back down to look at his boyfriend, unable to erase his smile.
"But I still say it's amazing even if you don't think so," Atlas said, smiling up at his boyfriend. He loved calm and isolated places like this even if he never went to any. He just never knew of any, but now he does and it holds a special value. "Hey… we should get going, what do you have that we could eat for breakfast?"
Nikolas dipped his head down and lightly kissed Atlas' lips, mumbling against them, "I have a couple boxes of pop-tarts, cereal, toast can be safely made, as well as scrambled eggs. That's about the extent of my cooking ability," he added with a soft laugh, resting his forehead against Atlas', "Take your pick."
"Well, I can't cook anything without making it burnt, undercooked, or causing a fire, so either you should do any cooking or we should just have some pop-tarts," Atlas said, giggling. He wasn't lying, that's the thing. In his foods class in high school, he started a fire while cooking french toast and the fire department came even though he put out the fire with an excessive spray of the fire extinguisher. After that, he vowed never to cook anything ever again.
"Let's just grab some pop-tarts so we can eat them on the way over," he said, grinning at Atlas' giggles. "I can only imagine the havoc Tess is wreaking right now. Poor Cin can only take so much." He laughed, then cupped Atlas' face in his hands and pressed a gentle kiss to his forehead. "Sound good to you?" he asked, tipping his head to the side in question. Nikolas wasn't much of a cook, what with his childhood, but he did pick up on a few things thanks to the kitchen-savvy twins. Tess, on the other hand, was not to be trusted around anything involving flames. Who knows what would happen, accidental or intentional.
Atlas nodded, "That sounds like a good idea, the sooner we get there the better probably… even though we're pretty late as it is." He leaned up and instead kissed Nikolas' lips, smiling while doing so. With some effort, he pulled away completely, heading to the kitchen. However when he got there he just kind of stood in place, looking around, not sure where anything was.
Nikolas watched Atlas go with a hint of amusement, lips curled up into a smirk. It didn't take long for Atlas to realize he had no clue where anything was. Nikolas chuckled quietly to himself, then came up to his boyfriend and lightly tugged on his shirt to direct him to the cupboard. "Right here, babe," he teased with a smile, ruffling the man's hair, then turned and grabbed his phone off of the island to call Tess as he had said he'd do earlier.
Atlas giggled again, following Nikolas to the cupboard. He didn't like to just rummage in other people's cupboards and closets without knowing it was okay. And at this point, he shouldn't be worried when it came to Nikolas, but he still was that way. But he grabbed on of the boxes of pop-tarts and opened it, grabbing a pack out for himself and Nikolas.
Nikolas clicked on the first number he had on speed dial, then set it to speaker for Atlas' benefit. The phone rang once, twice, then was picked up by a cheerful and feminine "Ciao!" Nikolas rolled his eyes and muttered, "You're way too energetic."
"Yes, well, it's not my fault you're a self-imposed insomniac that sleeps all day." He stuck his tongue out at the phone, earning a chuckle from the other side. "I can practically hear you sticking your tongue out, Nico. Anyway, what's up?"
He glanced over at Atlas and smiled as he spoke, "I'm on my way over to the studio, so gather the other parasites. I've got a surprise." He winced at the excited squeal he got.
"Oh mio Dio, I can't wait. I have a surprise for you, too! I can't wait to see your face, because knowing you, you didn't listen to him." Nikolas furrowed his brows and looked back down at the phone.
"Listen to who?"
"No one~" she sang, the grin clear in her voice, "I'll get everyone and meet you at the studio. Don't be late." He didn't have the chance to say goodbye before the call was cut.
Atlas happily listened to their conversation, giggling quite a bit. He absolutely loved Nikolas and the female on the line's relationship, they seemed to close. He was excited to meet Nikolas' friends and the person on the other side of the line seemed excited and that just made him feel even better about it. "In that case we should get going for real this time, yeah?"
Nikolas laughed softly and put his phone in his back pocket. "Yeah, we should. That was Tess, by the way. She's… a handful." He shook his head with yet another eye roll as he thought about all the mischief she gets into and how many times he had to keep her from doing anything stupid. Nikolas tipped his head to the side and held out his hand for Atlas, lips tilting up at the corner. "Ready?"
