Connor ran his fingers through his reddish curls, looking at the picture of his mother. He had inherited his hair from her, along with his small, skinny body. Granted, she obviously had curves that he would never have, being female whereas he was male, but the general body shape was still similar.

Wilhelm powered through the book, overlooking the fact that it was completely boring him out of his mind. Bonnie was fast asleep, her tiny form curled up into a tight ball on his lap.

@GoblinKing

A good chunk of time- maybe an hour and a half- had passed before Wilhelm got up. He held Bonnie securely to his chest so that the poor thing wouldn’t freak out as he stood.

@GoblinKing

Wilhelm shut the book, tucking it under his arm before walking back into the dorm. Bonnie stayed in his arms, her beady black eyes looking around lazily.

@GoblinKing

“Hi. We’re back.” Wilhelm said softly, closing the door behind him with a foot. “Are you still looking through that album?”

@GoblinKing

“It happens.” Wilhelm sat on his bed, draping a blanket over him and Bonnie. He set the book on his nightstand. “It’s dead silent out there in the common area.”

@GoblinKing

“Everyone’s just out there to study and work- it’s essentially just a smaller library in that place.” Wilhelm shrugged simply.

@GoblinKing

(sorry for the radio silence! prepping for hell week is.. well. hell!)

“Luckily though, I was the only one vying for this girl’s attention.” Wilhelm purred, ruffling up Bonnie’s fur. “I haven’t brought her into the dorm in a while, actually.”

@GoblinKing

“Very lucky.” Wilhelm agreed, keeping his voice quiet. Bonnie was beginning to drift off to sleep in his lap once more. “She’s a good dog.”

@GoblinKing

“I’ll sing her praises until someone shuts me up, ha.” Wilhelm chuckled softly, leaning back on his headboard. He smoothed his curls down with his palm, a soft smile on his face.

@GoblinKing

“Shut me up or praise the dog?” Wilhelm laughed, keeping his hands on Bonnie’s spine, occasionally combing his fingers through the yorkie’s fur.

@GoblinKing

“Both works. Sometimes I need to be reminded to stop talking, ha! Long ramblings and all. I don’t think I’ll get over the time I monologued over firewood on your first night here. Of all things! Sorry about that, by the way.” Wilhelm smiled, rolling his head to the side.

@GoblinKing

“True, true, I guess. Still, I feel like at the minimum, I could’ve chosen a more interesting topic.” Wilhelm didn’t fully recognize the irony in himself beginning to ramble about needing to be told to be quiet, clearly. “I still don’t know what to think about you drawing- and painting- me, isn’t that odd? On one hand, I’m flattered, but on the other, it feels odd for someone to invest that much time and effort into me like that. Does that make sense?”

@ElderGod-Icefire

Connor cocked his head a little bit, eyebrows drawing together. "Ah dinnae mind paintin' an' drawin' yeh." he said slowly, not quite sure how to articulate this. "Ah enjoy drawin'…people." he swallowed softly, running a hand through his hair.

@GoblinKing

“That’s fair enough. I don’t quite know how to phrase this, ha- I’m not sure why it feels odd. I don’t mind it, you don’t mind it, so why does it feel so strange?” Wilhelm flopped onto his back, hands still resting on the dog. “That was rhetorical. You don’t have to answer it if you don’t want to.”

@ElderGod-Icefire

He let out a faint laugh at that, shrugging his shoulders. "Yeah…ah dinnae know." he replied, shaking his head a little bit. He reached over to pet Bonnie.

@GoblinKing

“Maybe we’ll never know the answer.” Wilhelm said quietly, maybe thinking out loud more than actively talking.

@ElderGod-Icefire

He nodded a little bit, shrugging his shoulders and still petting Bonnie. He didn't respond audibly, recognizing that Wilhelm was more of thinking out loud than actually talking.
