Cat looked down at them. “You look beautiful by the way,” she said kissing them lightly.

Lot blushed and turned away slightly after the kiss. They muttered quietly not believing the words they heard, "Um, you look pretty too."

“Thank you,” She said. Walking down the street now. The diner was close by.

Lot looked back and glanced around. They seemed to relax a little.

Cat kissed them in the cheek as they arrived at the Diner. She moved her hand and held theirs. Walking in and waiting to be seated.

Lot stepped in and glanced around. A waitress walked up to the pair and smiled, "Hi, will it just be you two for today?"

Cat nodded. “Yeah,” she said swinging their arms slightly. She was smiling softly. The waitress nodded and led them to a table near the back.

Lot glanced around. They suddenly felt themselves feel even more aware of that little piece of skin showing than before. Why had they let Myrah talk them into thinking this was a good idea.

Cat sat down and motioned for Lot to sit next to her. “I love your outfit,” she said smiling more. She still held their hand.

Lot blushed again and sat down next to her. They looked down at themselves and shifted slightly, "Um thanks. Myrah, Myrah helped pick it out. And by that I mean she shoved clothes at me and said wear them."

“Well she has really got taste,” Cat said. “But if you don’t feel comfortable in it I have a sweater in my bag.”

"No, it's fine," Lot played with the sleeves of their jacket. They were glanced up at Cat, "Really, it's fine."

“Ok good,” she said smiling down at them. “Let me know if that changes.” She picked up the menu and started reading it.

"I will," Lot nodded and looked at the menu. They leaned against Cat in a comfort-seeking way.

Cat leaned against them as well. “Hmm what are you thinking of getting?” She asked.

Lot thought for a moment and hummed, "Burger or something like that."

“Sounds good,” she agreed. The waiter came over. “Can I get you guys something to drink?”

"Coke or Pepsi please," Lot got out when the waiter came. They felt their heart speed up, but kept themselves under control.

The waiter nodded. “I’ll have the same,” cat said still holding Lot’s hand under the table.

Lot squeezed Cat's hand and let out a breath as the waiter walked away. They relaxed almost instantly.

Cat turned and kissed their cheek. “Good job,” she whispered. She brought her free hand up to play with their hair.

Lot hummed and leaned against them, "That, that was a lot harder than it should have been."

“You seem very on edge. You sure you’re ok?” She asked leaning into them and twirling their hair.

"Yeah," Lot responded nodding. They let out a sigh, "This is nothing new for me."

“Ok,” she said kissing their cheek again. The waiter came back with their drinks. They asked what they would like to eat.

Lot put in their order their voice shaking slightly. A whole flood of insecurities started up even though there was no reason to be insecure at the moment.

“I’ll have the same thing please,” she said again. She leaned on Lot some more. The waiter nodded again and left.

Lot leaned heavily on Cat and nuzzled against her. They took a deep breath in.

Cat went back to playing with their hair. She kissed their cheek. “I love you,” she whispered.

Lot purred slightly and felt their face tinge a deeper shade of pink, "I, I love you too."
