Laura-beth was only two so she couldn't completely hold a bowl and eat with a spoon and the Mac and cheese was really hot

Lysander carefully placed his hand under the bowl to keep it from falling over as the heat didn't bother him.

" can you feed her?" She asked

Lysander shrugged. ”I can. Will you hold her for me?”

”I wanna do it.” Laura-Beth pouted.

Betty shook her head " I'm sorry sweetie you'll make a mess and that's one more thing mommy will have to deal with" she said and suddenly the power went out leaving the house pitch dark

Laura-Beth screamed at the sudden darkness.

”What in the… What’s going on?” Lysander groaned.

" I don't know " Betty whimpered

Lysander removed his arm from her and summoned a small fireball in his hand to light up the area for her. ”It’s alright, love. I can check the power.” he assured her.

She shook her head " don't leave me please" her voice trembling

”Alright. I’ll stay.” he promised. ”You don't have to be scared. I’m right here.”

Betty nodded and looked at her daughter

Laura-Beth was curled up against her mom still a little scared but was watching the fire dance in her daddy's hand.

”It’s alright, baby girl.” Lysander smiled at their daughter.

Betty closed her eyes petting her daughter's head

Laura-Beth slowly calmed down thanks to Betty's actions. ”Mama? Daddy Elsa?”

Lysander choked back a laugh at the innocent question. He had almost expected it when he made the fireball just now.

Betty giggled ¨Yeah sweetie Daddy´s just like elsa¨

“No, I’m not.” Lysander chuckled. ”I can't make clothes or a castle out of this.”

Laura-Beth almost started to pout at her daddy's answer.

”But I can do this.” he smiled as he manipulated the flame to form a silhouette of Betty.

she smiled and sneezed.

”Bless you.” Laura-Beth said to her mom while still watching her daddy's fire.

" she got up but sw flashes of Alec in her mind and dropped to her knees

”Betty? What's wrong?” Lysander asked, quickly kneeling beside her.

”Mama!” Laura-Beth cried.

She was breathing heavily clenching her eyes shut

Lysander kept the fireball in one hand and placed his free hand between her shoulders, rubbing gently. ”It’s all right, love. We're right here.” he said calmly.

The lights flicked she had been controlling them she had made them go out

”Come on, my light. It's ok.” he soothed. ”Just calm down.”

She shook her head ¨Make it stop¨ she cried.

Lysander sighed and held her against him as best he could. ”I wish I could, love. I wish I could.”

She opened her eyes and they were yellow and the lights came back on except the things that required to manually be turned on like the tv and the microwave

He kissed her forehead and looked at her. ”Feeling better, my angel?” he asked softly, letting his fire go out.

She nodded " you can feed her I'll get started cooking" she said standing up

”Betty, please.” he said gently, getting to his feet. ”Did you see something?”
