Wilhelm ran his nails over his other hand, though not enough to hurt. Just enough for him to know they were there. “How do you already know how to calm me down? Is it just a stroke of luck?” He laughed softly, more breathily than anything.
Connor let out a faint laugh at that. "Ah dinnae know. Ah'm just doin' what m' ma used ta do when ah was upset." He replied.
(Gtg in five minutes)
(Ok, thanks for the heads up)
“Well, it works like a damn charm.” Wilhelm’s mouth held the faintest trace of a smile. His breathing was steadier now, but it still hitched occasionally.

Connor smiled. "Ah know it does." he replied, still stroking Wilhelm's hair, trying to help the other calm down.
It must’ve been an odd sight to see- Wilhelm sitting on his bed, his head resting in another boy’s hand. He was fairly calmed down by now, thank god, no longer trying to force thoughts out of his head.
Connor looked down at Wilhelm with a faint little smile. "Feelin' better now?" he asked softly.
He laughed softly, nodding. “Yeah, I am. Thanks, Connor. You’re a saint for putting up with that.” A faint smile pulled at the corners of his lips.
Connor smiled again. "Yer welcome. An' ah'm no saint, but thanks." he replied, still absently smoothing a hand through Wilhelm's hair.
“Maybe not. But you’re something close.” Wilhelm smiled, absently leaning into Connor just a tiny bit more.
"Mm…no' really." he replied with a smile and a shrug.
“Damn, you’re making this difficult!” He laughed, tone a little teasing. “Just take the compliment, won’t you?”
He smiled. "Fine, fine. Ah'm a saint." He replied with a laugh, smiling at Wilhelm.
“See, was that so bad?” Wilhelm said with a lopsided smile, almost reflexively running his fingers through his hair, though he quickly stopped himself.
Connor's hand was still lightly stroking Wilhelm's hair, as if he had forgotten he was doing it. "Mm. Ah dinnae know."
Wilhelm had finally gotten a steady grip on his breathing. “You don’t know? That’s tragic, because I do.”
He snorted softly. "Oh? Then what's th' answer?" He replied, arching an eyebrow at Wilhelm.
“Well, see, now I’d feel silly saying it.” Wilhelm sniffed, shrugging his shoulders. “Because I think you’ve misunderstood me.”
Connor cocked his head. "Say 't anyways." he replied with a smile.
“I was simply going to say that even if you don’t know that you’re a saint- or at least a good person- I do, and I hope that you’ll trust me on that.” Wilhelm rubbed his eyes. “Does that make sense?”
He chuckled softly. "Mm. Yeah, tha' makes sense, ah guess." he replied with a smile.
“Good, good.” Wilhelm stifled a yawn, his jaw audibly popping out of protest. “I may sit in the common room for a bit, later, I think.”
Connor nodded, and stood, hand sliding out of Wilhelm's hair. "Yeah, alrigh'. Have fun wi' tha'."
“Mhm. I’ve got a few things I have to do first, though.” He looked around his bed, picking up his notebook. “I’ve got to press a few things in here before they start to go dry.” Wilhelm stood, picking up two thick, heavy books from his nightstand.
He nodded again, sitting down on his bed. "Alrigh'." he replied with a little smile. He picked up his album again.
Wilhelm pried open the thinner of the two beastly times, revealing a couple sheets of wax paper. It was clearly not the first time that they had been used, but given that their only purpose was to protect the actual book, it seemed alright. Wilhelm placed a few plants between the two sheets, repeating the process on another page as well.
Connor watched for a moment, then opened up his album to look at the pictures, humming softly to himself.
After shutting the first book, Wilhelm relocated it to his nightstand- where he promptly dropped the heavier of the two on top with a resounding thump. “Do you know today’s date?”
Connor thought for a moment, then shook his head. "No, why?" he asked, looking over at Connor.
“I’m sure I can guess it out. I have to leave this for at least two weeks, although with the weather as damp as it is here, it never hurts to leave them a little longer.” Wilhelm pressed his lips together in though. “Hmh. I’ll figure it out.”
He chuckled. "You can always check later. So long as yeh remember to, anyways." he replied with a shrug.
