"I don't know, but I do know I'll be okay with whatever happens." Sorrel spat. Sirens could be heard in the distance.

@Fraust

Cas held tighter to Sorrel when he heard the sirens, starting to tremble a bit. Thankfully, he'd never been caught stealing, but he was still afraid of the police.

Sirens seemed to arrive at the front door of Sorrel's house. They stopped, suddenly. "It's the police, open up or you will be prosecuted!" The shouts rang out. Sorrel gently patted Cas's head, and let go of him. He went over to the door, and opened it.

"You've violated the law, fireworks are illegal here." Said the man at the door. Sorrel tilted his head. "I was shooting silly string around, and playing very loud explosion sounds, it sounds insane but that's what happened," Sorrel explained. He was lying, but it looked so convincing.

@Fraust

Cas decided to sit on the couch and did his best to look calm and natural. Eventually, pretending to sleep seemed like his best option.

"Are you sure..?" Asked the police officer. Sorrel nodded, simply as he could. The man looked a little around his house, scanning through as much as he could see from the door. "Where are your parents, kid?" He asked.

@Fraust

That was something Cas had wondered since he'd got here, but hadn't asked. "They had to go out of town for a couple days to deal with a family emergency." He replied, though he wasn't the one the question was directed to.

"Alright then, what about you?" The officer asked Sorrel. Sorrel redirected his eyes to the floor, as they glassed over. "The grave, wherever the Hell they put them." He mumbled. The officer was about to say something, before keeping his mouth shut. He nodded, simply. "I'm sorry for intruding, please understand I'm sorry. Just keep the explosion sounds down." He said, before leaving.

@Fraust

Cas looked up at Sorrel sympathetically and went over to him when the officers left. His eyes were shining with tears, as he knew how it felt to lose one's parents. "You okay…?"

Deleted user

Sorrel looked to Cas with such a smile, then. He faked that smile, too, but it couldn't be easy to tell. "Of course I am," He said. It took him a second to come back from where he was. He was badly zoned out, badly lost. "Oh, uh, what were we doing?"

@Fraust

"Um… we were trying not to get arrested, Sor." Cas hugged Sorrel tightly and Nix rubbed up against Sorrel's leg to comfort him.

As Cas hugged Sorrel, he could have listened in on a slow heart beat. Shots were definitely fired that day. "I think it worked," He mumbled, hugging Cas back. "Those guys are always scary.."

@Fraust

Cas nodded, sighing softly. "Yeah…" He murmured, not releasing Sorrel. He honestly really liked being close to them. "Did you… did you ever know your parents?" He asked. "You don't have to answer if you don't want to."

Sorrel laid his head on Cas's. "Well I knew my mom, dad disappeared on my date of birth. Mom committed suicide ten-ish years ago." Sorrel mumbled. "But I have all of my memories, Cas, those I'll never forget." Sorrel vowed. "And you, uh, I could ask you the same, with the same 'you don't have to reply' kinda thing," He said, adding on to his rambling.

@Fraust

"Um…" Cas hugged Sorrel tighter throughout the story and considered how much he should tell Sorrel. "W-Well, my situation is sorta flipped. My mom left when I was little, but I have some very vague memories of her. My dad blamed me for her leaving and… uh… drank a lot, wasn't particularly nice, the works… I ran away when I was twelve."

Deleted user

"Ran away? Cas…" Sorrel said, abruptly. "Now I'm even more glad that I found you, I can provide something you've needed for a while. Comfort, love, they're all yours." He promised. "And no matter what this father figure said to you, you are not the reason your mother left." He said, sternly. "Never think the way he did."

@Fraust

Cas nodded weakly, trying to be impossibly closer to Sorrel. "…It gets cold out there at night…" He whispered, more to himself than to Sorrel and barely audible.

Deleted user

Sorrel held onto Cas quite roughly. Tightly, an escape-less grip. "You won't have to battle the frostbite anymore, nor the blistering heat in the summer," He mumbled. He made sure that Cas could only barely hear it, and used an extra special tone in his voice.

@Fraust

He nodded again, taking very controlled breaths to keep himself from crying. He didn't want to cry in front of Sorrel again. "Th-Thanks, Sor…" He replied softly.

Sorrel felt Cas's small shift, and let him be a little more loose. "Don't worry, Cas. It's nothing," He said, with a smile. He brought himself down a bit to his level, and poked Cas's nose. Maybe it'll brighten his mood? "Boop!"

@Fraust

Cas flushed red, floored for a couple seconds as he processed what had happened. Once he came back to his senses, he looked up at Sorrel, bewildered.

Deleted user

"So that's one way to make you feel differently! Haha!" Sorrel cried, with a good laugh. "Adorable, adorable Cas." He purred, with an understanding smile. "I'll learn everything it takes to make you your happiest,"

@Fraust

Cas blushed harder and whined, hiding his red face in Sorrel's chest. "Noooo…" He whined louder, feeling vulnerable and nervous.

Deleted user

"Oh come on, Cas. You know you missed out on a little family and fun, so I'm making it up to you." Sorrel said. There was no changing his mind now, he was intently set on that idea.

@Fraust

Cas looked up at Sorrel from where he was, clearly pouting. His blush hadn't faded at all, and he had no idea what to say. He knew Sorrel was right.

Deleted user

"Pleeease?" Sorrel whined. He gave in to Cas's pouting, just a little. "I just really want to see you smile, a lot,"

@Fraust

Oh, well… it wasn't like Cas didn't already want to, and was struggling to contain himself. After a couple of seconds of hesitation, he finally smiled for Sorrel.

Deleted user

"That's my Cas! Great job!" Sorrel exclaimed. He held Cas up, like Simba was held up in the lion king, and dropped him carefully after. "What a great day, hmm?"

@Fraust

Cas hid his face again, though with his hands this time. It was a little embarrassing that Sorrel could lift him so easily, but he didn't weigh much of anything, so he wasn't too surprised. "…Y-Yeah."
