She groaned " I have to go back to work" she said

Caleb's face grew concerned. "Don't they let you have a a week or so off at least? Isn't that like, the law??" He was not going to let her go back without resting for a while. It'd be unhealthy.

¨Oh I was just groaning about the fact that I have to go back eventaully¨ she said/

Caleb breathed a sigh of relief. "You don't have to if you don't want to…" He smiled at her.

¨Yes I do¨ she said with a confused look

Caleb shook his head. "You only should go back if you enjoy it. If your going just for the money, you can drop it. Quit, retire, whatever. You don't need to do it for the money though."

¨I Do Though We can´t…¨ she stopped midsentence

Caleb grinned. "Quit. I can take care of financials. You deserve it. You've been providing for long enough. Let me take over." He kissed her forehead sweetly.

Caleb tilted his head. "Why not?"

"Caleb I know for a fact that whatever illegal job you get you won't be able to pay for 4 mouths and that will result in you doing illegal things and that will result in me leaving

Caleb looked a little hurt. "I told you I would quit the illegal stuff… Did you think I was lying..?" He looked down at his lap a little sadly. "I've gone into Real Estate… And I also got a job at a warehouse, moving pallets onto trucks…."

She nodded " I'm glad" she said

Caleb still was sad, feeling like she still didn't trust him, which was with good reason, but he still felt someone had just twisted a knife in his gut.

Caleb just whispered, "I know…" He stood up. "I'm going to grab some coffee. Want anything?"

Caleb nodded once before walking out of the room, leaving Briar to herself while he cleared his head. He sighed as he trekked down the stairs, avoiding the elevators to give himself more time.

She looked down at her baby trying not to cry , Leonardo, If he left at least she would have him, why wouldn't he leave she had, she was a horrible person
