Marco smiled a little as he took Mia and set her down on the bed, tucking her into the blankets as she rolled her eyes.
Marco smiled a little as he took Mia and set her down on the bed, tucking her into the blankets as she rolled her eyes.
"Have wonderful dreams Mia." He kissed her forehead before leaving the room to go into his. "About the question, can you sleep with Mia from now on?"
Marco tilted his head curiously, but nodded. "Yeah… I can share the bed with her" he said softly.
"Awesome. You need a change of clothes right? I'll get you them, so stay here…." Levi pushed Marco lightly out of his room and then went to go look for clothes.
(I can't guarantee when I will be on anymore since my province has declared a state of emergency. School hasn't been cancelled entirely, but at this point, I'm expecting that to happen within the next week or so.)
Marco nodded, watching him go with a soft sigh, wondering if he should be concerned or upset about this.
(Okayy, say safe!)
Levi gave Marco his clothes. "Good night…" Levi walked into his room and started to close the door. "See you in the morning…"
Marco nodded, not quite sure how he felt about the other's actions, as he turned away to go back to where his sister was fast asleep on the guest bed, letting out a soft sigh before shifting and curling up in the corner, knowing he'd just get pushed off the bed with her fidgetiness.
Levi sighed and slid down the door once he closed it. It's okay…It's okay….you'll get through this. Just distance yourself. He swallowed the lump in his through and headed to bed. He fell asleep almost instantly as he got in the bed after changing into his pj's.
Marco slept soundly despite being curled up on the floor in cat form, and it wasn't until his sister was nuddging him awake the next morning that he was once more aware of his surroundings.
The alarm clock for school rang loudly. He hit it hard and rubbing his eyes. "Arghhh I don't want to go to school!" he yelled before getting up and getting dressed.
Marco mewed at his siter in annoyance, but got up anyway and changed into the clean clothing Levi had given him before scooping up Mia and opening the door cautiously.
Levi walked out of his room and looked up to see Marco. He nodded slightly. "Good morning." He walked down the stairs quickly trying to avoid conversation with Marco. "Hi mom! Wait…..why are you here?" he turned around, seeing her read the news paper.
"I have to take care of the patient. Don't worry I already have enough work hours saved for me to take a couple days off. She sipped her coffee.
Marco slipped downstairs quietly, carrying the squirming purple and black scaled dragonet in his arms as he stepped shyly into the kitchen, "Good morning.." he said quietly, bending down so he could let Mia wander a little.
Elaine looked down at the dragonet and shifted into what she did yesterday. She opened her mouth, which told Mia to open her mouth.
"Mom I'll be going now…" Levi started to walk out the door.
"Levi, you're staying here. You have to keep your soulmate company. While I work with his sister." Her mom shifted so she could talk and then shifted back.
Levi groaned went back upstairs. "Come on Marco…." he sighed and walked back in his room. "You can explore the wonderful attractions of my room."
Marco looked between them quietly, feeling more uncomfortable than before. "Mia.. she. she could probably use some kind of food too whil you're checking her out… she'll probably eat anything…. just don't give her cucumbers…. she's allergic to those…" he said softly, before moving out of the room quietly to follow Levi upstairs, not sure what to think about the other's reaction to his mother's order, feeling more out of place than before.
Levi laid down on his bed after changing into more comfortable clothing. He got under the sheets and closed his eyes. "I'm going back to bed…"
Marco stood in the doorway, looking down at the floor. "Uhm.. kay…" he said softly, waiting awkwardly for a moment before leaving for the guest room, shifting and placing himself under the bed and out of sight, lost in total confusion now. He didn't know what to make of Levi anymore, and he wondered if he'd done something wrong….
Maybe Levi thought he was just a terrible big brother for not getting his sister some help sooner….
Maybe he had just freaked him out too much with his griffon form…
Maybe Levi had realized he was trash just like everyone had said he was…..
the wahtifs spun through his head until his vision blurred with tears as he began to drown in his o0wn uncertainty, and the need to just hide and wait for it all to go away.
Lunch was called a few hours later so Levi got up and opened the door to Marco’s room. “Hey…my mom said dinner is-“ Levi got cut off when he saw Marco crying. Levi walked over sitting on the bed. He rubbed his back. “Marco…why you crying…?”
Marco buried his face under his paws in response, finding himself clueless as to how the hell he was supposed to answer. I'm a terrible soulmate… the thought echoed through his head once more.
“Please tell me why you’re crying I can’t help you if you don’t talk.” Levi kissed his head. “Please?”
Marco scooted away from him enough so he could shift back, "Y-You pushed me away… a-an' I don't understand why…." he whispered quietly, keeping his knees to his chest and his eyes to his feet.
Levi opened mouth but nothing came out. He scratched the back of head. “I did that so I can control myself. I can’t read you. In the morning you’re happy and cuddly in the afternoon you look at me like I’m a monster. What am I supposed to live or hate. It’s tearing me apart.” Levi sighed. “I’m sorry I pushed you away, but I don’t know what else to do. If you have a solution I would love to hear it.”
Marco shook his head, "You're not a monster…… I just… I don't know how to act around you either… or anyone else…"
“But that’s it I’m not everyone else. If I was you wouldn’t be sitting front of me. It doesn’t to do with the fact that you’re my soulmate. This to do with what you think of me. I think that you are the cutes and lovable person in world yet you think of me as a stranger…” Levi sat against the pillows.
Marco noddeda little, trying to calm his own chaotic thoughts so he could pull out an answer. "I.. I know you're a nice guy…. cute.. uh… sweet… an kind…. I'm jus' not good enough…"
Levi cupped Marco’s cheeks and kissed him. He didn’t pull away like last time. Levi let his hands slip down down to Marco’s neck, then to his hips.
Marco froze as the other kissed him again, his entire body tensing up like a deer caught in the headlights. But he didn't pull back this time, and after what seemed an eternity, he eventually found himself pressing back ever so slightly.
Levi smiled against his lips before pulling away. “Now do you think that I think that you’re not enough? I think that you are perfect.”
Marco felt his cheeks burn as he looked up to the other shyly, "Kay…" he said softly.
Levi wiped away his tears and pecked his lips before standing up. “Come on let’s go eat lunch. I’m starving.” He held out his hand with a grin for Marco to take.
