Mia did, still trying to watch her more curious than anything.
Mia did, still trying to watch her more curious than anything.
She says burnt marks in her gums and roof of her mouth. Elaine sighed and gave a soft smile. She shifted back and sat down. "I'll fix you right up okay?"
Levi still was showering, but he kind of just leaned against the wall so he could think about how to suppress his urges. "Why is this so damn hard!"
Mia closed her mouth again and gave her a questioning look.
(You also have to remember any injuries Mia has are almost a decade old.)
(I remember)
"You're lucky you know. If Levi didn't find his soulmate then you would never be able to talk to them again. I know you won't understand me, you're only so little. At the hospital, we have treatments for cases like yours. Most Shifters don't get the chance to be healed. Then they live their lives scared and ashamed. Anyway…I get something for your mouth, throat, and lungs. The must be burnt too." she stood up and looked in one of the cabinets. "Marco what's taking so long?!" she yelled up the stairs.
Mia just followed her curiously, flinching when she yelled for her brother, who was standing terrified outside of the bathroom door. FInally he knocked quietly, "Uhm.. Levi?" he called shyly.
He didn't hear him as he kept washing his hair. The door was slightly open, which meant that it was unlocked.
Marco let out a sigh, poking the door open a little, "Levi? Levi your mom's home…" his eyes were on the floor, cheeks darkening.
"Marco!" Levi quickly washed out his hair and grabbed a towel to wrap around his waist. "W-Why didn't you say anything?!" He panicked. "You didn't see anything right?"
"No! I.. I tried to get your attention from outside the door but you didn't hear me…" he was already outside the door leaning into the wall face first.
"Oh…sorry…I'll go put on some clothes!" He rushed to his dresser. "So umm how is my mom doing with Mia?"
"I.. I dunno.. she sent me up to come get you…" he said softly, not daring to turn away from the wall.
He put on his underwear and started to look for a shirt. "You can turn around now. It's not like you haven't seen me with my shirt off."
Marco shook his head, "I'd rather not.." he said softly.
"Alright," He got fully dressed. Levi leaned on the wall, "Now you can look at me."
Marco turned his head shyly, "Can we go back downstairs now, preferably before your mom yells at me again?" he asked quietly.
"Wait…" Levi let his hand rest on Marco's cheek. "I'm not going to kiss you, I just want to look at you and tell you how beautiful you are…"
Marco couldn't help smiling a little, "I'm really not,…" he said softly.
Levi shook his head. "Don't make me sing One Direction to make you understand. You are beautiful wether you know it or not. They do say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder."
Marco found himself blushing at that one, "Please don't start singing…"
"I will if I have to. only because, you don't know you're beautiful." Levi laughed. Without thinking he inched his face closer. "We should probably go downstairs…"
Marco nodded, scooting away a little, "Yeah.. that.. that'd be nice…" he said softly, trying not to get too awkward.
"Let's go then." Levi walked to the doorway with a grin. When they got downstairs, Elaine was hugging Mia. "Mom did you find out the problem?'
"Yeah, I gave her something that treats burnt internal organs. Is it alright if she stays here for a bit so I can watch her and make sure she's healing the way she's supposed to? Also, once she starts talking again, we can figure out her shifting problem."
Marco smiled a little in relief, shifting into a cat again and padding his way up to Mia, who gave a toothy grin and hugged him, seeming to at least understand that this was a good thing.
Elaine smiled. "Would you be this close to your brother if you had one?"
"Probably not." Levi knelled down. "Let's get you both ready for bed okay?" Levi picked up both of them. "Thank you mom."
Mia just watched him criously, keeping Marco clutched in her talons.
When Levi got up stairs he set them on the bed. “Marco can you shift back, so I can talk to you.”
Marco sighed, but nodded, shifting back, "What did you wanna talk about?" he asked softly, seeming much more relaxed now that his sister was getting help.
"Well, one, how are we going to have her shower? Two, it's something that I wouldn't want to say in front of her it would be awkward." Levi chuckled nervously.
Marco frowned a little at the first one. "I can probably bathe her come morning..," he said softly "but for now we can try and settle her in the guest room?"
"Alright." Levi picked Mia up and brought her to the guest room with Marco
