(if I make a username for something should it be saltylasagna or saltylasaga?)
(also sorry I've been gone, I've been working on my bio project, fighting my violin, and making an animatic lol)
(it's cool lol. and I would put saltylasagna bc I think that's how lasagna is spelled)
(yeah but I misspelled it the second time on purpose lol. Have you never heard of the lasaga?)
(no..?)
(omg lol)
(PFFFT that's beautiful XD)
"Yeah. They all got sick at once, a couple days after Liam. Lenny–he's the medic in charge–thinks it was because Liam helped in the kitchen that night. "I just got sick yesterday because I was helping out in here." Eli grinned ruefully. "Can you help them?"
Cas nodded. "I…I specialize in a sort of alternative medical practice that utilizes some techniques many people have never seen before. It can sometimes be taken badly, so I tend to work at home rather than in clinics and such."
Eli squinted. "Do you mean….like magic?"
Cas sighed. "Yes. I mean magic. Many people don't like it, especially if they're being healed by it. I tend to work on a summoned basis." (gtg for tonight, see ya)
(Okay, same)
Eli brightened. "Oh, well I don't mind! I think magic is cool. Our boss….eh…he's not a big fan of it, but if you save some lives, I'm sure he wouldn't mind."
Cas frowned a little. "Your boss? He was the one that invited me in. Though I guess he had no real idea what I was at the time."
"Wellll, he doesn't mind magic people, really. He just disapproves of using magic as a shortcut. You know, to make yourself stronger or faster or whatever. He says it's just like drugging yourself. But again, I don't think he'd be opposed to you healing us, especially since nothing else is working on us."
Cas nodded. "Where I'm from, magic is common. It's used every way you can think," he said, moving to swap some more of the bags for the IV's
"Huh. The only magic I've seen is the kind demons use, and it's not very friendly."
"Well, many of the demons where I'm from are usually far nicer than you would think. There are exceptions of course, such as my adopted nephew's father, but I can assure you I try not to use harmful magic." He suddenly felt something on his lip, and he realized a small nosebleee had started. He wiped it away and ignored it, going back to what he was doing
Eli noticed and started to ask what the matter was, but got interrupted when the curtain was pulled back and Mike came in.
"There you are," he said to Cas. "What are you doing? I thought you were going to radio your tracker friend."
Cas froze. "I…Your medic seemed overwhelmed. I was just trying to help," he said, bracing himself for Mike to start yelling at him, or worse
Mike appraised Cas, then glanced at Eli, then at the other unconscious hunters. "Thank-you," he said. "I'm sure Lenny appreciates it. Is there something you can do for these guys? I'm getting worried about them."
Cas nodded, doing his best to hide his surprise that he wasn't being kicked out. "Y-Yes, I've almost finished administering something that should have them fixed in the next 8 hours."
"Good. Great. What kind of something?"
"Uh, boss?" Eli piped up. "It's….magic. A healing spell, or something. That's okay, right?"
Mike's expression darkened slightly, but he nodded. "I guess, just this once. Cas, how long will the magic stay in their system?"
(brb, one sec)
Cas flinched. "About 8 hours, or until they're back to normal health."
(hallo what happened while I left)
(basically Cas has been going around the medical bay helping people)
(coolio. if you guys are ready to move forward with the plot, lemme know lmao bc I don't think Yvette can really do anything at the moment)
"All right, that's good. I don't want them trying to work until they're back to normal." Mike smiled wryly at Cas. "Look, I'm not going to get mad at you. You volunteered to help, we don't get that a lot around here. Thanks."
(Ok)
Cas smiled awkwardly, wiping the blood from his nose again before jamming his hands in his pockets. "It's no trouble, really. Kinda my whole purpose," he chuckled
