"Are you sure, you're awfully quiet." He whispered, tracing her sides with his hands.
"Are you sure, you're awfully quiet." He whispered, tracing her sides with his hands.
She nodded once more
He wasn't about to ask more questions, so he scooped her up and carried her to her closet. "Why don't you change into something comfortable and we can really nap?" He suggested, setting her down and petting her cheek.
She nodded going to change.
The next day at school at lunch Brad Collins Calum and Lilli were all sitting together but Caroline wasn't there yet
Brad was looking around anxiously, looking to make sure Caroline was just late, and not caught up by other means. Those other means being intrusive people. He hadn't seen Felix all morning, and that set off an uneasiness through his whole being. "Where is she?"
Suddenly Amber rushed in " Guys you've gotta see this it's Caroline" she said
Caroline was staring at her lockers which wrote snake slut in blood
"W-What about Caroline? Is she OK!? Is someone hurting her!?" Brad asked getting up immediately, grabbing Amber's elbows and looking at her panicked. It was clear he was freaking out, and was very concerned for his girl friend. In such a rush, he ran off to go find her. "Caroline!?"
There were people around her locker surrounding her.
" Brad over there" she pointed to the crowd
Brad whipped around and walked over to the crowd, pushing past people to look for Caroline. "Caro?" He asked a little softer, not wanting to see what was going to be in front of him. He turned and looked at Amber. "I don't care if I get expelled, get a teacher or something, I don't want anyone getting hurt besides me."
She looked at those bloody words her bottom lip quivering as Amber took off, clenching her hands into fists tightly the blood running from her palm to the floor.
Brad came up behind her, putting a hand on her shoulder. "Hey, princess it's me." He whispered, coming up in front of her.
She stepped forward putting a hand on the locker leaving a bloody handprint
He watched her, and frowned. He turned around and looked at the crowd of people. "Who did this? I want to know, and if you don't step up you're a coward." He shouted, pointing to her locker.
Felix and about ten of his buddies got pointed to and caroline brought her hand back to her side.
"I want you to get to class." He whispered to Caroline, kissing her cheek. "I love you, so please, get to English." He begged her again, before turning around and walking over to Felix and his group.
He laughed " look at her face" he said Caroline unmoved had one red S carved in each cheek
"Can it Felix, you have no right to even look at her because of what you're doing. You think she'd ever come running to you now because of the way you're treating her?" He spat at him, leaning close as he sneered. "I want you to leave her alone, otherwise I won't hesitate to get expelled for beating the hell out of you."
¨Your gonna defend the Sl*t¨ felix said .
¨leave him alone¨ Caroline said. ¨Just walk me to class¨ she said.
"Hold on." He told her, taking her hand. "She isn't, she's not one in the slightest. You're more of one than she could ever be." He growled, before turning around and scooping Caroline up in his arms. "Now, m'lady, we can go to class."
She frowned The s cuts in her cheeks white visible.
Brad began to carry her down the hall, starring at her cheeks. "You know, I think those S's mean something else."
¨What?¨" she asked
"Super Sweet." He smiled, kissing both cheeks. "I think you're beautiful, even with your scars. Especially with your scars." He whispered, setting her down.
¨How?¨ she asked.
"How?" He asked her back, a slight frown. "Because you are, and they know it. They bully you because they're either soulless, blind, or jealous." He whispered still, keeping this an intimate conversation between the two of them.
¨How could they be blind or jealous?¨ she asked.
"Because they don't see you the way I do, and the way you should see yourself." He told her, leading her over to a bench. He sat down, pulling her into his lap. "You aren't perfect, no one is, and we both know that. But you're plenty perfect for me, even if you try to deny it. You mean everything to me sweet thang, and I really truly love you." He told her before kissing her cheek rather tenderly.
she looked at him smiling a tear rolling down her cheek.
"Do you believe me?" He asked, holding her close and stroking her hair.
she nodded gently.
