"d-dadda" asher said reaching for henry

Henry froze in shock when he heard what Asher called him. Yes, he already kind of thought of the boy like a son but… Hearing it still knocked the wind out of him. He smiled softly, a little teary-eyed as he picked up the boy and nodded.

Lysander smiled at his brother before taking Betty upstairs to rest. He laid her on the bed and sat beside her.

" Ly an oracle only comes back that quickly. . . If she's pregnant"

He stared at her in surprise at the announcement. ”B-but we… That was just a few hours ago. Doesn't it take more time than that for it to start?” he glanced at her stomach briefly before looking back at her.

" No not for a n oracle you don't have to help raise it or anyting we can abort it if you want" she said

”No!” he said, taking her hand. ”I’m just a little shocked. I know how much you said you wanted to have kids and I do too. I just wasn't expecting so soon.” he said calming down a little. ”You won't have to raise our child alone, my wife. I'm not going anywhere.”

She leaned her head on his with a sigh " thank you"

He smiled at her and gently cupped her cheek. ”Anything for you, my love.” he told her sincerely before kissing her.

She smiled gently and kissed his cheek

He chuckled a little and held her warmly so she could rest.

"wake me up in an hour. Don't let me sleep any later"she said slowly drifting off

”Alright.” he agreed, kissing her forehead.

Hour later she was still asleep

Lysander was a little torn. On one hand, he knew he should wake her up but at the same time, she looked so peaceful when she was asleep. He gently brushed a strand of her hair behind her ear.

She stirred in her sleep

He sighed softly and leaned down to kiss her cheek. ”It’s time to wake up, my Princess.” he almost whispered in her ear.

Her eyes gentky fluttered open

He smiled at her as she woke up. ”Hi.”

She smiled " Hi" she said tiredlu

He chuckled a little and kissed her forehead. ”Would you like some coffee? Or tea, to help you wake up?” he offered.

"if you could get me some coffee and I'll get dressed here ready to go to the store" she said

”Alright.” he nodded, carefully getting up. Thankfully that brief rest helped his back as it had been a little sore from hitting the wall.

" hey" she grabbed his hand as he turned to leave "are you alright" she asked

He smiled at her, giving her hand a gentle reassuring squeeze. ”I’m fine, angel.” he told her before kissing her knuckles.

"Did I scare you?" She ask

He sighed and sat down on the edge of the bed still looking at her. ”I’m always a little scared when you die. I hate the feeling that I failed you.” he admitted, not letting go of her hand. ”I don't want you to go through that.”

""There's nothing you could have done I'm in Oracle it's my job to save people" she said

”And you're my Eternal. It's my job to protect you and keep you safe from things like that.” he argued gently, not angry with her.

"And I love you for that"

”I love you too.” he said, kissing her briefly.
