Ira set the phone aside, and stared at her reflection. "He's coming." She told Raven through the door.
After a minute of regaining herself, she pulled the door open. She stood there, with her head hung low. "You heard everything, right?"
"Yeah, I have one question though. Don't get mad or walk out or lock yourself in the bathroom…I just want to know…" Raven led Ira to the bed.
Expecting the worst, she shut her eyes. "Go on then." She told him, sitting on the edge of the bed. Whatever it was, she prepared herself to answer honestly.
"Did you ever think about still being with him, when I was with you? Like did you ever think of me as him? Please don't tell me you thought of me as a replacement." Raven bit his lip, hoping to god she would say no.
She froze, mostly from his last sentence. "I-… no? I mean, like, not as a replacement." She said, cringing at her answer. "I really don't know how to explain what I'm trying to say. You were never the replacement for him. Ever." She tried to explain, taking his hand in hers'. "I may have thought it, before we went out, but I know I corrected myself after that." Ira knew she was over explaining herself, but she was mostly walking herself through the answer. "My point is, no I didn't, you were something different. I loved you more, and still do."
He nodded as a sigh of relief left his lips. “Okay. I just realized how much you wanted the baby when you were pregnant. But I guess any girl would get sad over it being a miscarriage. Sorry. For asking you that…”
Ira took his hands in hers' as she looked up to him. "Hey, it's OK. I know, this is all coming out of the dark, and it's not just haunting you. It's haunting both of us now. I'm sorry you had to find out the way you did."
Raven kissed the back of her hand. "I guess I'm jealous. I just wanted to be the only one in your life. Even if it was a past relationship." he laughed. "Let's go downstairs, so you can go get the dress that you will be married in."
Ira felt bad, that she couldn't fulfill his wishes. "The only dress, that I will ever get married in." She smiled softly, pecking his lips before turning out the door. "And you, need to go get a suit."
“I know, I know. Let’s go.” He stood up before kissing her forehead. Raven took her hand and walked with her downstairs.
Holding his hand tightly in hers, she kept glancing back at him. "Five days…" She whispered, a smile on her lips. "We'll be married in five days."
“You know it!” He laughed and let her go with the girls. “Love you. See you later okay?” Raven kissed her before letting her off.
“Love you babe.” She smiled, as she was dragged off by his younger sisters. Laughing at their excitement, she tried to keep up with their quick pace.
(Do you want to bounce from yours to mine (or vise versa) or just time skip?)
(Yours, I would live to see what kind of dress she will be wearing XD)
“Okay, okay. First we need to get you to this amazing place which my close friend owns. So, what do you have in mind?” One of the sister’s asked.
(Haha, I just didn’t want to like “lead” for the whole thing, your character is important too!)
Ira bit her lip in thought. “I’m not a hundred percent sure. Obviously something to impress Raven.” She laughed lightly, brushing her white blonde hair out of her face.
(Thanks! It’s alright.)
“Well something that would surprise would be you in a suit. We’ll look when we get there. It shouldn’t be too far from here.” She answered.
Ira broke out in laughter, the picture of shock on his face painted in her head. "That sure would be something." She snickered, looking at the girl besides her. "Sounds like a plan, what's it called?"
“The place we’re going to?” She asked.
Ira nodded, her hair bouncing when she did. "Yeah, does it have a name?" She asked with a slight smile.
“It does, but I don’t remember. Something dresses.” She thought. “We haven’t been there in a long time.” Rebecca answered.
Nodding, Ira looked down at the younger girl with a smile. "That's alright, guess we'll see when we get there." She smiled brightly, walking with a straight posture.
“Relax! They won’t hate you if that’s what you’re thinking. Just be yourself alright?” She slapped her back playfully. “Trust me.” They finally reached the shop and the sign said the most boring thing ever. “Who names a wedding dress store Wedding Dresses?”
Ira didn’t relax her posture, but smiled. “I just prefer to stand this way.” She told the other, as they came up to the door. Hearing her comment, made Ira laugh once more. “That is a rather boring name, wonder who named it…”
“My friend has no inspiration cut her some slack!” She joked. They led her in and greeted Ivory’s friend. “Let’s start looking okay?”
"Sounds like a good plan." Ira smiled at her, taking in all the wedding dresses. They were all gorgeous, even if they weren't all her style. "Where do we even start?" She asked in a laugh.
“Well, do you want a long and elegant dress or a cute stylish short one?” One of them asked.
"Long and elegant." She said shortly, sure of that much.
“Then we start over here,” Rebecca guided Ira to the right place. Some had a cut on the side that went quite high. Some were short, but had a long back. “What catches your eye? Demands or patterns?”
Ira's eyes glanced over the white fabric, and a look of consideration was on her face. "I mean, lace is always pretty…" She said softly, filing through the dresses. "But really, I don't know much of the specifics."
“Don’t think of it like your picking a dress for a wedding think of it as a dress that you’re just looking for. Like a dress that you really like. Not Raven. Don’t please anyone put yourself. Like Smash Mouth said ‘you’ll never make everybody’s day’” Charlottle sighed. “Love that band.”
