My final point is that we all should be careful when joking about any sort of suicide, given our community.

Seppuku is something entirely different from the suicide epidemic in this day and age.

Seppuku is a ritual suicide.

All I'm saying is that maybe things like that shouldn't be joked about on a site with a lot of suicidal people.

Do you have proof that she was joking?

No. But she advocates for professional help, so I'm assuming if she was serious about disemboweling herself, she would be getting help.

I do know from experience that you 'advocate,' I guess, for professional help. So this I do know.

I don't feel like dealing with your hypocrisy today. Nor I do feel like explaining what Bushido and Seppuku actually mean OR that I do support a lot of things for mental health–including seeking professional help–but that does not mean that the things I comment about myself completely disregard what I preach because of life experience.

But, you know, thanks for trying to tell me how to act.

  1. I am doing nothing hypocritical. I have never joked about suicide on this site and never will.
  2. I know what Bushido and Seppuku are. I already said that. I actually did a semester long study on Japanese culture and Samurais.
