Aliana took a step towards him. It wasn't much but it seemed like enough, "You, you can trust me. What's, what's wrong?"
Aliana took a step towards him. It wasn't much but it seemed like enough, "You, you can trust me. What's, what's wrong?"
Hatta shook his head again, staring at her and mumbling.
Aliana couldn't tell what he was trying to say. But she took a breath and said, "I-I'm not going to leave you alone. Even, even if that's what you want me to do."
Hatta stared at her, blinking rapidly.
Aliana looked to Hatta. She was about ready to just breakdown, but held herself together. Barely, "Hatta, mad chatter, whoever you are. Will you please just talk to me?"
Hatta shook his head slightly, and started walking again.
Aliana felt like crying. God why was she so emotional. This was what Hatta could be like for the rest of his life or worse. Aliana didn't want that. She followed after him feeling a tear slip down. As she followed after she reached up to wipe it away.
He was still mumbling. Something about time and Ravens and darkness and heads and blood.
Aliana didn't like what she finally heard Hatta say. She knew this new information would only feed her ever growing nightmares.
Mumbling something about darkness and magic and something pounding and blood.
Aliana hated what he was saying. She finally built enough courage that in between his mumbling she blurted out, "Tell me a riddle."
Hatta stared at her, blinking.
Aliana looked up at Hatta and repeated herself softly, "Tell me a riddle, please?"
He shook his head. "Can't."
Aliana blinked once. That was the first time he had spoken directly to her, "Then, then I'll tell you a riddle. Is that okay?"
He shrugged his shoulders.
"Okay," Aliana continued feelin a surge of confidence, "Um, what does a story and a dinner table have in common?"
He blinked at her, thinking and unsure.
Aliana looked to Hatta seeing him think. She had a smile on glad he was thinking, "I can give you a hint if need."
He just shrugged his shoulders.
Aliana bit her lip growing worried once more. The bite was painful enough, "Do, do you have an answer?"
Hatta shook his head.
"They, they both require setting," Aliana told the answer. She was looking at Hatta hoping something would happen.
Hatta blinked slowly. "Oh."
"Um, yeah," Aliana rubbed her arm, "It wasn't the greatest was it?"
He shrugged slightly.
"Do, do you have one for me now?" Aliana asked him trying to get just a little bit closer.
He shook his head.
"Okay," Aliana nodded. She was almost able to grab his hand, "That's fine. Want me to tell you another one?"
Hatta hesitated, then shrugged again.
