Arien smiled, leading Dan inside. The shop wasn't very big, and the only other person there qas the person behind the counter.
"Arien," they greeted.
"Sam," Arien returned, smiling. Arien led Dan to the back of the shop, to the fancy clothes. They wee all similar to Arien's, much more formal.
"See anything you like?" Arien asked.
"um…" Dan looked over all of the clothing, "Wow, they're really fancy."
"Yeah," Arien said. "We're going to a fancy ball, after all."
Dan nodded, "Um, what do you think will look good?"
Arien looked from Dan to the clothes, thinking. Eventually, he pulled out a gothic-style full suit. It was mainly black, but when the light hit it just right it was a deep midnight blue with purple shimmers, and quite exquisite. It had silver buttons and clasps, and a matching small ruffle necktie.
"How does this look?" Arien said, pointing to a mirror. He held the outfit in front of Dan. It complimented his eyes, and matched his hair well.
"I like it. It looks good." Dan said and smiled then looked at Arien.
Arien grinned.
"Here, go try it on in the changing room, we'll see what needs to be altered to fit you."
"Alright." Dan nodded and took the outfit then went to the changing room. He changed into the outfit then came out to show Arien.
Arien examined Dan in the outfit. He smiled.
"You look gorgeous. But… something's missing." Arien thought for a moment, then went over to the jewelry section. He came back with a silver pin, putting it on the ruffled necktie.
Dan blushed a bit at the compliment then watched Arien walk away. When he came back Dan looked at what he put on him.
It was a simple pin, a six-petaled flower with two layers, and a little drop of silver for a center. Elegant, but simple. Arien took a step back.
"Perfect," he said quietly. He kissed Dan's forehead.
Dan smiled and blushed a bit, "So it's all good?" he asked softly and smiled.
"Yes," Arien said. "You'll fit right in." He grinned. "Go ahead and change back, I'll pay for it."
"Alright." Dan nodded and went back into the changing room and got his own clothes on before exiting.
Arien took the clothes they were going to buy from Dan, going up to the counter. He handed over several hundred dollar bills.
Dan stood next to Arien as he bought the clothing.
Arien finished up, the clothes in a bag.
"There anything else you want to look at, or do you wanna head back?"
"We could just head back, I don't know what to look at anyway."
"Okay then." Arien waved goodbye to Sam, the man at the counter, then led Dan outside. He held the bag in one hand, picking Dan up in his other arm.
"Ready?" he asked, kissing Dan's cheek.
"Yeah." Dan nodded and held onto Arien.
Arien took off, going back to the house, just as fast as before.
"You doing okay?" he said gently.
"Yeah, I'll be fine." Dan nodded to him.
"Okay." Arien kissed Dan's cheek. After a bit, they were back at the house. Arien brought them both inside, setting the bag down and sitting with Dan on the couch to cuddle a little.
Dan cuddled with Arien and kissed his cheek. "You're amazing."
"You're astonishing," Arien countered, smiling. He pulled a blanket over them to keep them warm. He kissed Dan's forehead.
Dan smiled, "I'm not completely tired yet. We could watch something maybe?" He offered.
"Sure," Arien said. He leaned over to grab the remote, settling back down.
"You wanna pick?" he asked.
"Sure." Dan took the remote and started a movie. He decided to choose Cinderella.
Arien smiled a little when Dan chose Cinderella.
"A classic," he said. He smiled, cuddling down with Dan to watch the movie.
"The beginning of our ball is going to be similar to the one in this movie," he said quietly, then fell silent when the movie began.
Dan nodded and held onto Arien. They cuddled as the movie went on.
