"Aisen? There was an… accident. He's not a human like you- he's always been a doll. He won't tell anyone what happened, though. Elliot found him in a garbage can, and brought him home. He was… alive, even before Elliot found him." Arien sighed a little.
"Oh…" Dan was a bit surprised by it and nodded.
Arien nodded.
"He's actually pretty closed off about his past. He said that he had a kid, the kid got sick, and the parents threw him out. Nothing more." Arien shrugged a little. "We've found it best not to push for more."
"Alright." Dan said and nodded. Then yawned a bit.
Arien looked out the attic window.
"It's getting late. You could go to sleep, and I could take you home later," Arien suggested.
"Yeah, alright. I trust you." Dan said softly then cuddled against Arien as he started going to sleep.
Arien smiled softly, holding Dan carefully against himself.
"Good night," he whispered quietly.
"Night." He mumbled and slept peacefully.
Eventually, Elliot made his way up to the attic with Aisen. Arien motioned for them to stay quiet, letting them know Dan was asleep. He carefully got down from the wood beam, making sure not to wake Dan up. After a moment of hushed talking, Elliot convinced Arien to let him extend the spell on Dan so he wouldn't turn back until Arien set him in his bed, and then break after that. Saying goodbye, Arien took off, carrying the tiny Dan back to his apartment. He locked the door after him, then laid Dan down gently, during which time Dan went back to being a normal person. Arien pulled the covers up over Dan, tucking him in.
"Sweet dreams," he said quietly, kissing Dan's forehead before taking off out the window.
Dan cuddled up under his blankets and slept soundly through the night. When he woke up he stretched and was happy that he was himself.
Arien was asleep by, now, exhausted. If Dan were to stop by, he'd see Arien just sprawled out on the floor, snoring a little.
Dan got up in the morning and stretched as he got out of bed. He was happy to not be a toy anymore. Dan changed for work then left.
(Timeskip to that night?)
Arien was having weird dreams, about Dan being a doll again.
(Alright.)
Dan got out of work then went to Arien's. He knocked on the door when he got there.
Arien woke up, cracking his sore back before going over and opening the door.
"G'd evening," he said with a sleepy smile, stepping aside to let Dan in.
Dan walked in and smiled at him, "good evening, sleep well?" He asked then sat on Arien's couch.
"Mostly." Arien smiled again, sitting down heavily next to Dan. "You glad to be human again?" he asked with a little chuckle.
"Absolutely." Dan nodded and leaned against him, "way too weird."
"Yeah," Arien said. He put his arm around Dan, sleepy. "I like you better like this anyway."
"I'm glad, I don't think I'd be able to stand being a doll for long." Dan said and nodded.
"Yeah. Besides, you're much cuter like this." Arien paused looking at Dan's eyes.
"I missed being able to see how pretty your eyes are."
Dan stared at him and blushed quite a bit. "Um, thanks. Also I'd like to thank you for treating me like an equal and not like a pet." He said refuring to how Eliot treated him.
"That's how you deserve to be treated," Arien said. "Just cause we're different doesn't mean I should treat you like I own you." he sighed a little, giving Dan a little hug.
Dan hugged him back and nodded.
"You're even more adorable when you blush now than when you were a doll," Arien whispered into Dan's ear.
Dan blushed more then hid his face against Arien, "I can't deal with all the nice compliments." He said muffled against him.
"Aww, but there are so many I can give you." Arien wrapped both arms around Dan lightly, smiling.
"and they will only make me blush more and more." He said then looked up at Arien.
"Good!" Arien said with a grin. "You'll just get more and more adorable!" He smiled at Dan.
Dan smiled at him, "So tell me about that ball thing you were talking about."
