Asa grinned, eyes closed. She pressed her head lightly against Ashera's, humming a little.
"You're one of the rare few then."
Asa grinned, eyes closed. She pressed her head lightly against Ashera's, humming a little.
"You're one of the rare few then."
Ashera found herself blushing at that. Why… She wasn't really sure. ”That’s sweet of you to say.”
Asa giggled a little, nudging Ashera's blush.
"Cute," she said simply, grinning.
Ashera giggled at the poke, her blush turning a brighter shade. ”You’re one to talk.” she teased, playfully as she lightly bopped Asa’s nose.
"Oh, I know I'm cute," Asa said, striking a little pose. Mostly to hide her own blush.
hi does anybody want to be my penpal? lol this is random im just kinda desperate
Ashera couldn't help but laugh at Asa posing. ”Adorable is what you are.” she smiled, her petting turning into an attempt to tickle the little Dragon.
Asa started to giggle at the tickling, squirming around in a half attempt to get away.
With Asa being in her smaller Dragon form, it was easier for Ashera to hold her down and continue tickling her. ”I didn't know Dragons were ticklish…” she giggled. ”Are you more so… Here?” she asked moving her fingers to the underside of her wings.
Asa had just been giggling before, but when Ashera went for the underside of her wings she burst out laughing.
"Ah, ah!" She managed to get out, smiling.
Ashera laughed and continued to tickle her. ”Baby scales are softer here, aren't they?” she teased before letting up her attack. ”I’ve always wondered at what age they get stronger.”
Asa nodded to the question, smiling.
"My mom said it was around fifty when they got as strong as they're famous for."
Ashera gave a soft hum at her answer. ”I’d imagine they get tougher in stages, right? I mean, when you grow, you molt your scales and the next set are stronger than the last?” she asked. Ashera knew a bit about Dragons but never had the chance to talk to one before… Especially not like this.
"Sounds about right. When I was younger, my scales were as soft as human skin. I've only molted one or two times, though." Asa curled up on Ashera's lap again, happy to be able to answer Ashera's questions.
”How often do you actually shed your scales?” she asked curiously before shaking her head a little. ”I apologize if I'm asking you too many questions or if any of them are personal. You don't have to answer all of them. I won't be offended.” Ashera said kindly.
"Oh no, your perfectly fine! I'm really enjoying this, actually." Asa smiled up at Ashera.
"And it's about one every ten years or so, but it all depends on how safe you feel."
”Good.” she smiled when she found out that she wasn't being annoying. Though Ashera had to bite her tongue when Asa mentioned being safe. She could imagine that there weren't many times that she felt that way. ”Well, if there’s anything I can do to help you when that happens again, let me know.” she offered, smiling again.
"Okay then! It probably won't happen for a few years anyway." Asa returned the grin. She snuggled back down on Ashera's lap, looking happy.
”Still…” Ashera giggled, going back to petting Asa. ”If you're going to stay for a while then it's my responsibility to help you.”
"Well," Asa said, enjoying the physical affection, "dragon shedding is a lot like other reptile's shedding. The only thing I'll really need are a couple big rocks and a place to wait for my scales to fully harden."
”Rocks?” she asked, raising a brow slightly. ”I guess if that's more comfortable for you… As for a place to stay, ” Ashera smiled. ”We already have that taken care of. Unless there's anything specific it needs.”
"I have a harder time getting the skin off on my own, so I use rocks to help. And yeah, we pretty much have that second thing covered." Asa rested her head on her paws, eyes closed.
Ashera nodded as she continued petting Asa. ”Yes, we do.” she agreed. She almost wanted to offer her help instead of using rocks but kept that thought to herself for now. Molting was probably a personal time for her and she didn't want to overstep their new friendship.
Asa smiled, melting a little again. She enjoyed being able to talk to Ashera, but she definitely still enjoyed the petting. She didn't mind just being her pet still.
"Thank you," she mumbled, in bliss.
”You’re welcome.” Ashera smiled, still happily petting the young Dragon. ”I’m so glad I found you before anyone else had the chance to take you.” she said.
"I am too," Asa agreed. "You've helped me so much…" She trailed off, butting her head against Ashera lightly.
Ashera chuckled at the gesture. ”I wish I had met you sooner. All I’ve done is be kind to you, the same way I always try to treat others.” she admitted.
"Well, it was better for us to meet now then not at all. And you really have." Asa grinned, looking happy.
”That’s true.” Ashera grinned before impulsively placing a light kiss on Asa’s nose.
Asa blinked a couple times, then grinned. There was a little blush on her cheeks, which was weird for her. She'd been kissed plenty of times like this, why was now different?
