Amethyst shrugged, kneeling to spinel's level. "Spinel?"

Am I dead? Nightfall thought before shaking her head. Nah. No way. She tried to spread her wings, but one of them appeared to be tied in a sling of some sort, as if it had been injured. "Great." She muttered to herself. "Guess I'll have to walk."

Alastor growled in frustration, still trying to find the others. He walked back into the clearing, pacing back and forth.

“Yeah?” She asked, tilting her head, making her heart shaped hair flop to the side curiously.

"Do you remember me? Ames?" She asked.

“Remember you?? I’ve just met you, silly!” She smiled, one arm clinging to Steven’s. This made him panic quietly, now very worried.

The eagle makes a sound that sounds like a sigh and transforms into a humanoid demon. “Oh, snap.” says the eagle/humanoid demon.

“Ah-ha! I knew it!” Steven exclaimed, pointing at what used to be the eagle. Spinel giggled at this, but was surprised by the transformation.

“Dear, halfling, what exactly did you know? Please be more. . more clear. You could know a lot of things like, how far is the sun away from earth, the name of the constellations of the universe or even the name of all the gems.” The humanoid demon said as she crossed her arms and a soft smile appeared on her features.

“Well, yeah, that the sun is 92.96 million mi away, and I do know every constellation on Earth and Homeworld, and I have learned of most Gems, but no. What I’m talking about is that you were actually a person!” Steven replied, counting his fingers as he recited his skills, making Spinel look amazed.

(SOMEONE’S USING GOOGLE!)

“Ah, that. I prefer the term humanoid demon, but, go ahead and call me a person. Why not. There’s a good reason why I had that beautiful heart-shaped gem. During the battle that you, your other friend and that Alastor guy were having, the gem was being thrown from place to place like if it was a football, and then, I took it so it didn’t get cracked or something. . and uh, the part were I tried to eat it was because my bird instincts kicked in. Screw you, bird instincts.”

(Hey, I’m a homeschooler, what do you expect? (Steven was taught by Pearl though))

“Well, I believe anyone who can think is a person.” Steven said proudly. “And that ‘beautiful heart-shaped gem’ is also a person, so please respect her.” He pointed to Spinel who had a curious “‘,:3” face. “But we’re getting off-topic: She doesn’t remember us, she doesn’t remember Amethyst! Just in case you didn’t know, Amethyst has helped her get through a…very tough time…” He looked away shamefully, grabbing the bottom of his shirt as if he was in pain, making Spinel look up at him, worried. “…That lasted….a very….very long time………”

Poppy jumped, running over to Nightfall. “You’re ok! I think my healing worked… how are you feeling?”
Taily returned to the area, she sighed and walked over to Poppy, who she was still mad at, and glanced up at Nightfall.
Poppy smiled, her rosy cheeks showed. “I’m so glad you’re alright!”

“Remember you?? I’ve just met you, silly!” She smiled, one arm clinging to Steven’s. This made him panic quietly, now very worried.
