Nyx's throat bobbed as he swallowed, trying to find his voice. "I…" He breathed. "N-no, I…" He took a deep breath, not sure what to say.

"This feels okay?" Jude asked quietly, kissing the spot and running a slow hand through Nyx's hair. It was smooth under his touch, a little spiky and darker than the night they danced under.

(I won't be super active tonight, sorry)

Nyx shivered, breath catching for a moment. "Y-yeah…" He breathed, swallowing hard and melting against Jude again, body curving to fit into Jude's.

Jude raked his hand through Nyx's hair again, this time using it to tilt his chin up a little and give him space to kiss up his neck, lightly tracing his jaw and finding his way back to his mouth.

Nyx was quivering a little bit at the treatment, eyes shut and kissing Jude back desperately.

Jude smiled at Nyx's little trembling, finding himself a happy realization at the idea of making him feel so ardent. He could practically feel the electricity bouncing off him.

(me and my fucking brain: if there's electricity bouncing off of the cyborg, there's something wronggg)

Nyx opened his eyes a little bit to look up at Jude. He pulled away, taking a deep breath and studying Jude carefully.

(bahahaha that reminds me!!! through almost all of middle school i got wicked static shocks from the metal chairs!!! catch me whimpering and yelping every time i touch the sides!!!0_0)

Jude’s eyes flickered open, meeting Nyx gaze. “Everthing okay?” He muttered, biting his lip and trying to steady his breathing.

(hahaha! Ouch lmao)

Nyx nodded a little bit. "Uh huh." he said softly, closing his eyes again and leaning against Jude. "Just, uhm…sensory overload again. Trying not to have to restart."

"Mhm," Jude hummed, sneaking a hand to the nape of Nyx's neck and quietly winding his hand through the shorter locks. "I think I felt the same way on the field," He smiled, running a gentle touch over the little mark on his neck.

Nyx let out a soft laugh, leaning his face into Jude's neck, cuddling close to him. "No you didn't. You don't have a computer for half your brain." he shivered a little at the touch to the mark, arching into the touch a little bit.

"You're right, I don't." Jude agreed, smiling and playing with Nyx's hair, "But kissing me like that?– Damn," He chuckled, "I just about OD'd on that feeling."

Nyx smiled into Jude's skin. "Hmm." He replied, humming softly for a moment. "And besides, you kissed me the first time."

"I did." Jude said with a nod, though he sounded a little surprised. "First thought best thought, right?" He quoted, tilting his head back onto the couch cushions, "I thought I'd fucked up for sure."

Nyx stayed cuddled up to Jude, still working on calming down and not having to restart. "Mm. Well. You didn't." he replied softly, tracing a finger along Jude's jawline, eyes closed happily.

He took a long breath, wondering how even the slightest touches from him made him smile. "I didn't?" Jude smirked, feigning surprise, "So you're sayin' you liked it? Or– you wanted it?"

"If I hadn't liked it, would we be doing this now?" He replied, opening his eyes and arching an eyebrow at Jude.

“I mean…” Jude sighed, “I know you liked it, but I wasn’t thinking about if you…would have wanted it.” He bit his lip, looking away.

"Oh." He frowned a little bit, thinking about that. He wasn't sure what to say, because he didn't know the response. He ran a hand through his hair.

He took a long breath, his eyes quietly avoiding the sight of Nyx at this moment, darting over the hung paintings and photos that covered the walls. "I didn't mean to– Well, I did…But I know I probably shouldn't have, even though I wanted me to, and you wanted me to…" Jude rambled, getting a little lost in his half-hearted regret, "…Sorry."

Nyx looked at Jude, chewing on his lip. "I don't…don't apologize." he said slowly. "There's no harm done, right?" he cocked his head a little bit.

(i have this picture of them sitting on the couch together after the zoo, and Nyx just goes "Hey, Jude? Where do babies come from?" and Jude just,,,, spewing water everywhere because he was in the middle of taking a drink or something lmao)

"But what if there was?" Jude asked quietly, finally facing him with the faintest smile. "Doing that to someone who doesn't really know that much about the world– no offense –and as another guy…" He sighed, wondering if Nyx already knew about what liking guys meant for people in the world, dreading the idea of telling him if he had to.

(pppffff yes!! and all through their visit to the zoo he sees all the kids and is like ?????, and yesyes Jude looking at him like (•)_(•)

He frowned a little bit, biting his lower lip. "Is…is there something wrong with that?" he finally asked. Is there something wrong with me? Should I not be feeling this way? His eyes searched Jude's worriedly, eyebrows drawing together.

(Nyx just going "why are these humans smaller and noisier than all the others?" and Jude going "those…those are children, Nyx". Nyx: "Tiny humans.")

"Some people think so, yes." Jude painfully told him, thinking back to the same worry that had found him in high school. He clenched his jaw a little, trying to avoid straying his gaze away from Nyx's.

"Oh." he said softly. "Why?" he drew his knees up to his chest protectively, looking at Jude with worry on his face.

(hahaha)

"It…goes against what they believe in," Jude said with a muted annoyance, shrugging. "I don't want to scare you, Nyx, but people…get hurt over this thing." He bit his lip, feeling that noxious guilt push forward in his conscience.

Nyx bit his lip slightly. "But I won't." he said. "Get hurt." he clenched his hand a little, then relaxed it again.

Jude swallowed dreading his next words, "–It's more than just that." He said with hesitancy, "People are killed, too."

He looked at Jude, frowning. "I don't understand." he finally said, quiet, shaking his head.
