Brad walked down the steps, and saw her. "Oh my-" He stopped himself, seeing she was asleep. He sighed, and walked into the bathroom looking for things to clean her up with. Once he had found some medical supplies, he came back to the living room.
Caroline saw him as she opened her eyes and brought a hand up to hide the bruise
"Hey babe." He smiled gently taking her hand and pulling it away.
" hi…" She said quietly
"What's wron-" He saw the bruise, and frowned. "That was my fault wasn't it?" He asked softly.
She nodded gently " it's fine" she said
"It's not Caroline, it really isn't. I should've had a better grip on myself…" He whispered, sitting on the floor.
" i shouldn't have gotten on your nerves " she said
"You didn't do it on purpose." He looked to her, frowning. "I had very little control over my emotional state."
" maybe it be better if I kept my mouth shut " Caroline said
"You shouldn't have to, I should be able to control myself." He responded setting the med supplies aside.
" you know we can't do this anymore…" She said
"Do what?" He asked, trying to avoid the topic.
" we can't be together"she said
"Why not?" He asked for the millionth time, knowing the answer.
" your best friend is in the hospital because we made a stupid mistake" she said
"W-wait, what happened to Collins?" He asked standing up panicked now. He barely remembered anything after her running out of the house.
" I left the house to go see Collins Because he overdosed because of us you got.mad and slapped me I drive off and got in a wreck " she said gesturing to her gauzed arm
"O-oh!" He said, surprised and confused. "I need to go see him, I promise, I'll come back, but this is my fault…"
Caroline wiped a tear that escaped her eye she picked up his hoodie which was folded neatly on the coffee table and handed I to him

"W-what are you doing?" He asked walking up beside her.
She handed the sweatshirt to him kissing his cheek fresh tesrs falling on his cheek and she.started to wsllk away
"Wait!" He called, grabbing her hand. "Please, don't leave, don't lock me out."
" it's what should happen" she said
He tossed his hoodie onto the couch, and pulled her in for a kiss. A tender, loving kiss, something he could feel better having to leave by.
She kissed him back momentarily before pulling away
"I love you so much, and don't want to lose you." He whispered, holding her forehead close. "So keep the hoodie, I'll see you tomorrow Caroline." He whispered still, pecking her lips and pulling away. He was already out the door, and walking down the sidewalk.
She walked to the door " Brad!… I love you too" she said
He turned and smile at her. "Good night Caroline." He called waving at her. "Get some rest, and clean yourself up." He shouted some as he walked off.
