Me: Notebook, Facebook, Pinterest, Youtube, reading, watching tv/movies, gaming, walking…. Basically everything that I was doing before this plague outbreak.

I've been reading The Magicians series (I'm on The Magician King at the moment), and I hate Quentin and his idiotic decisions/thoughts. Thinking I might have to read something else while I read this series…. I'm thinking I might reread Eragon/The Inheritance Cycle, the Supernatural tie-in books (which I'm gonna do anyway, and will write reviews for them), The Count of Monte Cristo, or a Stephen King novel.

The entire series was building up to one moment and it broke me with one word

It's the next book in the series, The Magician King…. There's still a lot of telling than there is showing, and at one point before the excerpt that I shared Lev Grossman actually put "nomming" in a sentence. 👎

Gonna stick it out and read the entire series….. Lord help me!

Two down, one to go! The Magician's Land is the end of the book series….. The tv show The Magicians is much, much better!!!!!

i’ve watched the show and was gonna read it-

There's a lot of telling, not enough showing. The characters in the books are drab and boring. In the second book the author uses "nomming" in a sentence and passes rape off as a good thing…. I haven't started to read The Magician's Land yet (I need a break from reading)…. Check out reviews on Goodreads.

i've read the first book, and i didn't really think it was that bad, but then again i didn't really look at the words too closely

The first book was… okay. I just wish that we saw more of "The Beast", that there was more showing instead of telling, and that there was more time spent on certain areas.
