Cat squeezed Lotus’s hand slightly. “I’m joking of course we’re partners,” She said smiling. “Now let’s listen to what the project le actually about.”

Lotus let out a breath of relief, "Oh, yeah let's do that."

Cat smiled and nodded again. She looked at the teacher still holding their hand. Her hand went loose again as she placed her head down.

Lotus started to pay attention and they continued to play with Cat's hands once more. They took in as much information as they could.

Cat leaned again Lot slightly. Resting her head on their shoulder. “I can’t pay attention,” she said closing her eyes.

Lotus laughed a little seeming to be more relaxed than normal. They continued to pay attention though it was difficult, "I can tell."

"Can you tell me what's going on later?" She asked keeping her head still. Her hand still holding theirs. Her eyes are still closed.

"I can do that," Lotus responded though they had already missed a good chunk of what was being said.

Cat was half asleep on their shoulder. She nodded slowly. Her breathing steadying. She smiled as she relaxed against them. She was slightly playing with the side of her phone case.

Lotus smiled and focused their attention back at the teacher. They tried to piece together what they had missed and managed to get a good portion of it. Mindlessly their hand continued to play with Cat's fingers.

Cat moved her fingers and played with Lot's as well. She kept her eyes closed. she didn't open them until the teacher stopped talking. She didn't lift her head yet.

Lot had a grin on and the teacher stopped talking telling the students they now had time to work and plan before the bell rang. They looked over at Cat, "Hey."

"Hey," she said back. "What did I miss?" She lifted her head but kept their hands linked. She looked down at the notebook she took out earlier. She then looked up at Lot.

"Nothing much," Lot responded giving Cat a slight smile, "Just we're allowed to start working now and a few specifications."

“What’s the project on?” She asked smiling up at them. Her fingers still playing with theirs.

"Something about analyzing a greek myth" Lot responded after a moment of thought, "I think."

Cat laughed slightly. “She usually hands out something later,” she said smiling. Leaning on her slightly.

Lotus laughed and they carefully leaned back in their seat making sure Cat wasn't too disturbed, "Yeah. We'll figure it out then."

(Sorry back I don’t remember reading this but it wasn’t in my unread list lol)
Cat smiled and nodded leaning back into them. She kept her head up but their shoulders touched.

Lot grinned and figured it was their turn to lean on Cat. They yawned a little, "Yep. So for now, which myth?"

“How Hera and Zues got together is really weird,” she said smiling at Lot. They looked adorable when yawning.

"There's a story behind that?" Lotus responded their brows furrowing slightly, "I haven't heard of it yet."

“Zues tricked her into saying I love you by pretending to be an injured bird. Pretty gross but not the weirdest thing he did,” she said smiling still.

"The fuck?" Lotus responded concerningly, "Can I veto that for a less gross story? I mean it's fucking incest to begin with."

Cat laughed slightly. “Yeah it was. Do you know any other myths?” She asked turning her head to face them.

“Pandora’s box is a classic,” Lotus responded holding back another yawn, “So would Narcissus.”

"I know pandora's box," Cat said smiling. She half wished Lotus would lay on her but instead of acting on it she just tightened her grip on their hand slightly.

"So Pandora's box?" Lotus asked resting their chin on Cat's shoulder. God the temptation to sleep was strong at the moment.

Cat nodded smiling and even blushing slightly. "Yeah that sounds like a plan," She said taking out her phone. "We can meet up after school again to work on it if you want."
