Lucas kissed him back softly. "How so? I'm not really doing anything usually."
Lucas kissed him back softly. "How so? I'm not really doing anything usually."
"Just by wearing that cute smile of your everyday…." he giggled, kissing his neck.
Lucas blushed again. "Love…" He whined, fighting the strong urge to hide his face. "I'm really not that attractive."
"Yes, you are. Will I have to tickle you again?" Nick smirked holding up his hands.
"Please don't, love…" Lucas sighed, hiding his face again.
"Well, as for school I'm ready, but you need to escort me all the way okay?" he asked with a smile.
"As in, right now?" He asked. "Are you sure?"
"Yeah, I'm sure. Even though I am a bit afraid I'm ready to go back once my injuries heal." Nick wore a determined face although he didn't know it.
"Alright, love." Lucas got up out of the bed and took Nick's hand to help him up.
He walked around the bed knowing the feeling of walking it before. “How far am I from the door?”
"Mmm… I'd say around fifteen feet, love." Lucas followed him, never letting go of his hand.
"W-Wait don't let go of my hand!" he freaked out not sure if he was there anymore. He took a step forward feeling scared and alone.
"I didn't, Nick. I've still got you." Lucas held tighter to Nick's hand and kissed his cheek softly. "You're alright."
“I’m sorry, I guess my hand went numb there for a second. Sorry,” he felt embarrassed.
"No problem, love." Lucas lifted Nick's hand and kissed his knuckles sweetly. "I won't let go."
He nodded and started to walk forward. he reached his hand reached his hand out to the door when he felt like he was near. He reached the door handle and opened it. "Do I have to turn?"
"After you walk forward a couple steps, yes. Turn left." Lucas led Nick along patiently.
Nick walked a little bit then turned left. It felt like they were walking down the isle, if they ever got married. "You'll be my husband one day right?"
"Of course, love. If you'll have me." Lucas led him down the hall to the elevator and pressed the button.
"It's a promise," Nick laughed stepping into the elevator.
Lucas grinned and kissed him once they were inside. "I love you~"
"I love you too," he rocked him back and forth. "Press the button."
Lucas did, leaning against Nick affectionately the whole way down.
"Where are we going?" he asked, a little confused.
"School, love. That's where you wanted to go." Lucas looked up at Nick worriedly. "Do you not remember?"
Nick laughed. "I have to be discharged first love, I can't just leave. I also said when my injuries are healed. Thank you for the consideration though."
"You said you wanted to go right now, though, and don't we get discharged at the front?" Lucas asked, still bewildered.
"Yeah, but I need to get dressed…" he trailed off looking down because he was only wearing his socks. "You also don't know how to drive."
"I… um… thought we were walking." Lucas mumbled, embarrassed. He pressed a different button on the elevator and they were soon heading back up.
"Well, we can walk, but I don't think I'm ready to be in the streets yet. We can call an uber," he suggested.
