"It's fine Tempest, you don't have to." She yawned, relaxing into his hold. "But if you really want to, we could just hang out around town. I don't have anything specific in mind." Shrugging, she sat up again. "Though I might fall back asleep if we stay here."
"Nothing wrong with that." He chuckled as he sat up as well. Truth be told sleep felt great after such a busy week but he also wasn't the type of person to do nothing all day.
“Well we can nap later, maybe while watching a movie or something.” She suggested with a shrug. “But for now let’s get up, and I can make breakfast.”
"If you need any help I'd be happy to." Tempest mentioned as he rolled out of bed and noticed the bed wasn't too covered in fur "Hey looks like shedding season is coming to a close." he chuckled
"Great, I won't have to worry about your fur sticking to my clothes." She giggled, tossing her hair over her shoulder to be dramatic. "What do you have for breakfast?" She asked sliding off the bed and walking out of his room.
"Oh I can help with waffles if you want." He started to go through his closet until he pulled out a waffle maker "Been awhile since I used the thing"
"Sounds yummy!" She giggled, smoothing down her hoodie. "Ooh! Do you have cinnamon, I love making special batter." She smirked, rubbing her hands together.
He walked into the kitchen and plugged in the waffle maker "I think it's in my spice drawer" Tempest then looked to her and asked "What do you need?"
"Cinnamon, flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt." She listed off rather quickly with a smile. "That's for the dry ingredients, but that's all I care about for the moment."
Tempest responded by starting to gather the dry ingredients she needed. He set his cell phone down and clicked on some soft piano music for them to work to.
Jo smiled at the music, turning to face him. "Did you write this one?" She questioned, grabbing a bowl to mix the ingredients together once they were all gathered.
"some of them." He responded and looked over her shoulder to learn what to do by watching her
"Oh OK." She smiled, leaning back and pecking his cheek. "Do you have any measuring spoons?" Pulling away, she asked him.
He nodded and went through a drawer in his kitchen and pulled out a couple of different sized measuring spoons
Joanna picked the half table spoon from him, turning back. "I use to eyeball it, but I found the perfect mixture so I started using that instead." She mentioned, dumping cinnamon into the bowl.
"Well that's real neat." He seemed to be watch carefully "When do you need the wet ingredients?" His ears twitched a bit as he studied what she was doing.
"Once I get the sugar in. Can you get milk, vegetable oil, and an egg?" She hummed scooping up some flour.
He went deeper into his pantry and pulled out a half empty bottle of vegetable oil, then opened his fridge to pull out an egg and a half gallon of milk. "Gotta get some eggs and milk after this." He muttered, setting them all down.
"We can go to the store if you'd like." She suggested, grabbing a second bowl. "You want to mix dry things together?" She asked, as she cracked an egg.
He nodded happily and started to do as she had done, he got some flour on his hands and ran a finger on her cheek to leave a little on her as he chuckled gently
"Hey!" She laughed, turning to look at him. She got some flour of her own, streaking it on his mouth. "You've got something on you." She teased.
"Ack!" He withdrew his head, surprised, but he couldn't help but laugh out loud.
She smirked, a giggle from her lips. "Want me to get it for you?" She teased, leaning over closer to him.
He gave her cheek a playful little lick and the flour on her cheek vanishes
She squirmed her face, shoving him away a bit. “Stop it that tickles!”
He was quite giggly after that but finished up mixing the dried ingredients "Alright let's finish this so we can enjoy today."
She rolled her doll like eyes, but still smiled. "Sure thing, pup." She chuckled at his new nickname from her.
"What's next Jo Jo?" Temp asked as he showed her the mixed up ingredients
"We put them together. Once I've mixed this together at least." She smiled softly, grabbing a fork. "Can you spray or butter the waffle iron?"
He did what she had asked of him, his tail thumping against her leg
