"Nothing, never mind. Forget what I said it was dumb. Are you almost done, princess?" he smiled as if nothing happened.
"Nothing, never mind. Forget what I said it was dumb. Are you almost done, princess?" he smiled as if nothing happened.
"I- Y-yeah…" She mumbled, turning to face him. He always confused her, changing his mood and tone seemingly in an instant. He was always moving, and ready to switch things up.
"Great! Let's go make lanterns and head home it's getting late. I would want to keep you up, princess," Raven walked down the road in front of Ira.
"You know I'm a nightowl." She laughed slightly, rolling her eyes. "You're the early bird here, but whatever." She shrugged, catching up to him.
He looked ahead and kept walking until they reached the lanterns. "Pick whichever one you like, princess."
She looked at him, a sweet smile on her lips. "I really like that nickname." She purred, before turning to pick a lantern. Pointing to the first lantern, she glanced back to him. "Do you like that one?"
"Yeah, it brings out your eyes. Besides, as long as my princess likes it then I like it," Raven kissed her cheek.
"I do like it, do we have to pay for it?" She asked, slipping her arm around his waist.
He nodded. Raven spoke in Japanese to the clerk and gave him the right amount of money before taking the lantern. "Here you are."
"It's so pretty… I can't wait to see it up in the sky." She whispered, excitement visible on her face.
"Neither can I…" he smiled looking at her. "You look very cute right now, princess." he was feeling nervous about his question that he asked. Raven wanted to know what she would have said. He shook his head and sighed.
Catching onto his dampened mood, she looked to him curiously. "Are you alright darling?" She asked Raven, her voice soft and sincere.
"Yeah, I'm fine, princess. No need to worry about me." They called everyone over to raise their lanterns in ten seconds. They lit all of them before starting to count. "10…9…8…7…"
Watching Raven carefully, she held the lantern delicately. The small flame flickering in it's place, the light glow was warming. "6…5…4…"
"3…2…" they counted. "I want to have a baby with you when we get back to the house," he whispered. "1!" he lifted the lantern up and watched it fly. "Beautiful…"
"Wait- wh-" And she was cut off by the shout of one. She looked up to the sky, watching the lantern fly higher, as her thoughts sunk deeper. 'He what!?'
"Are you ready to go princess or should we continue to watch?" he leaned on the fence.
She turned to meet his face, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. "I- yeah we can go." She hummed, biting her lip.
Raven kissed her lips before walking away. “Can you at least think about it please?” He asked.
Sucking in a deep breath, she nodded gently. "Of course. Though I'd have a few concerns…" She whispered, taking a hold of his hand.
“Listen…” he turned around. “If don’t want to then say it, but if you do want that would make me so happy. I want to have a family Ira. I want our kids to call you mommy. I want to be with you every step of the way. I want to see their first everything. The look on their faces when they have their first Christmas then see the look on their faces when they find out Santa Isn’t real. I want to see them look out for each other just like we do for each other. We have the house, we have the room, and we have the money. I know you’ll be throwing up and your breath will stink when we kiss, but I will be there in the mornings, at night, and during the day to help you with anything you need. So please…will you let me have a family with you. Don’t say yes because you think that’s what I want to hear. I want to hear the honest truth. The one that you think is right.”
"I do, I really do Raven," She whispered, taking his hand in hers'. "But we're not even married, and we're still in Japan. Is it really the best idea to start this now? When we aren't even back at our house?" Her concerns were coming, and she wasn't able to help herself. Everything was just, unsure to her.
“I don’t want to wait till marriage and even if it’s in Japan we’ll still have it in America. If you really are that concerned about it then we won’t do it,” he hugged Ira. “I just…I don’t want to wait anymore, but if you are unsure of it then it’s fine.”
"What if we got married. In the next few days, I mean. I can get my father and brothers down here, and we can get married then." She whispered, resting her forehead against his.
“You don’t have to do that. I don’t want to rush getting married because I want to have a child with you. I don’t want our marriage to be about sex,” he laughed lightly.
"It won't be, but I don't really want to be pregnant at our wedding." She laughed too, pecking his lips. "I know what our marriage would be about, and it would be totally worth it. If I'm being honest, the smaller the better for a wedding." She whispered now.
“Okay, but do you really want to get married in Japan on Christmas?” He asked, starting to walk.
"That sounds like the most dream like thing ever. Besides, I really don't want to have to wait months to get married." She told him, catching up to him quickly.
“As long at you really want to do it here then. I’m fine with that too my princess. When we get home I guess I’ll tell my mom. Where will we have it though. The garden at our house is too small and it doesn’t have any clearings…” Raven answered.
"I have no clue, but I know I want to do it here." Ira said, jogging up in front of him, and wrapping her arms around his waist.
