HAPPY VENT!!
I LOVE MY NEW CADET CORPS. Last night was My THIRD night there, and I got my promotion to Sargent last night!!!
I've been waiting for this promotion since last year and OMG I'M SO HAPPY I FINALLY HAVE IT!!!
(It was a big deal for me personally because in my old corps I was pretty much the only Mastercorporal who had bee there the same amount of time as the other Sargents, and everyone else had joined late and was given a fast version of the training.)
AND!!! Even better!!
This is the second night of training year after the Chirstmas stand-down. I think they tried to do it last week but I wasn't there because of reasons. (WHICH IS FREAKING AWESOME?!?!?)

Normally promotions are done on CO's Parade night when they do Corps INspections.
THIS WASN'T A CO'S PARADE!!!
THEY RECOGNIZED I WAS OVERDUE FOR PROMOTION AND GAVE IT TO ME OUTSIDE OF REGULAR PROCEDURES!!!
THIS IS AWESOME!!!

The Royal Canadian Army/Sea/Air Cadet Program is a youth leader/citizenship program in Canada. I've been apart of it, for three, going on four years now.
I believe America and Britain have a similar program too…
Never heard of it lol. I’ll look into it a bit later though.

Also the secondary purpose of the program is to raise awareness of the Armed Forces.

@s-t-r-e-s-s-e-d there's nothing terrible wrong with you. When you are at a chemical high in your brain, it's really easy for your brain to crown like a forest fire and hop to something else. Thus, extreme happiness can turn to despair in a moment.

I am happy to report that I am feeling loads better now after falling asleep sometime last night
I've needed to vent for a while, so glad I found this.
Honestly I'm sick of people expecting things from me because I make above average grades. I hate being told "I've got to be an example" just because I got birthed first. I hate people telling me to stop doing things that they turn around and do right after scolding me for them. I despise the state of the world I'm in, and I personally get frustrated with myself for not being able to change it, even though I know I can't.
That might make no sense but I feel better-ish now.
