Jaxon chuckles at Libra's remark, "It's funny. You think you're so brave? Have nothing to fear? You must be dumber than everyone I know." He turns to Isobel, "Never trust instinct, they have a habit of deceiving you" He was about to throw another ball when a dark ball hit him first. His eyes grew full black as he fell to the ground screaming.
"There's always something to fear," Isobel muttered darkly, her eyes flickering with annoyance. She should go. She should go soon. But there was something stopping her- wait, no. She needed to get back to Misty.
Jaxon sat on his knees and his voice went dark and clear, "You all are going to die. Even this one in which I speak through. Oh, this one is a riot! His energy!" Jaxon gets up and stumbles around, "Pardon me, I haven't used such a being in centuries! Mortals are easy, but this one is more difficult than I anticipated!"
Libra just stared at Jaxon, not looking scared at all. “Right, this is creepy, but scary? Nope, not at all.” She yawned and took out a book from her bag. No, not a normal book, a spell book of some sort.
"have you seen death?" He looks at Libra
“Death? Like have I seen people die before?” Libra asked.
"No. Have you seen Death itself?" Jaxon's smile extends beyond normal
Isobel narrowed her eyes even more at Jaxon. Right, of course Death was an actual person. But as for witnessing the act of dying… she was no stranger to that.
“No, well, not yet.” Libra said as she flipped through the pages of her book.
Jaxon reaches into his mouth and after a creepy moment of struggling, he reveals Jaxon's heart, "Beat, beat. A beat of a heart remains. Budom, budom. The mind of this one won't be the same"
Libra shuddered at the sight of the heart. “Disgusting, literally disgusting. Not only is that creepy, but scary.”
Jaxon smiles, he put the heart near his mouth. Instead of putting back in, he took a bite. The heart began to beat faster
She covered her mouth with her hand, and her face slowly turned pale. She backed away and then disappeared for a good two minutes.
He laughed and looked up. A moment of silence and he starts screaming. Jaxon then falls to the ground and spits blood and chunked heart. Jaxon looks up, with blood running from his mouth, "That is who wants to kill us"
Isobel straightened, all trace of emotion devoid from her small body. "I had better get going," she stated, turning to go.
“Yes, go ahead and leave. I’m sure you’ll be the first one to die. Well, anyways, goodbye, have a good life and make sure to not bump into any soul eating demons.”
Months went by and Jaxon continued to heal from the strangers threat. He began rebuilding the town one building at a time. He was fine. He thought he was safe.
"He approaches once again…" The voice told Jaxon, "you need to find the other two. They may be able to help!"
"I will try," Jaxon had a moment of doubt, "but I doubt it will work…"
So he went off, trying to find the girls he had met before. Unaware of what followed…
Libra, well Libra was hanging upside down from a tree branch, talking to a bird that was on the tree branch. They were having a quite interesting conversation, and she was glad that the bird hadn’t mention worms, because of it had, she would have been puking her guts out. “So, tell, me Lacy, how is life like a bird?”
“Ah, it’s quite interesting, dear Libra. You get to do whatever you want, and you get to fly, which is my favorite part of being a bird.” Lacy chirped.
"But at least we can see glass" Jaxon's voice carried. "I apologize, using a communication spell is a bit tiring."
Libra perked up and shivered. “Woah, I’ve heard that voice before, but from where?”
Lacy tilted her head, a bit confused, “Whatever do you mean, dear Libra?”
“A voice, I heard a voice. .” She paused as the bird looked at her oddly. “I guess I’m tired and that’s making me hear things. .”
He walks up to libra from a distance, "Let me know when they start getting… suicidal"
“HOLY SPIDER MAN!” Libra said as she fell on the ground. “Have you been following me? Wait a moment, why are you here and most importantly what do you want?”
"A fictional character and most certainly NOT holy. No I haven't I just tracked you. I need your help. And… Well it answers your questions" Jaxon looks at the bird, "Not very interested, but why were you talking to a bird?"
“Because I have the ability to talk to animals, and I want to know how animals live for a research I’m doing.” She paused and narrowed her eyes at Jaxon. “I’m aware that Spidey is a fictional character, I could’ve said Holy Batman, and you would’ve probably said the same thing.” She then crossed her arms and narrowed her eyes further. “You want my help? Oh, this is to good. No, this is hilarious.”
"I'm not egotistical, so I won't day 'you need my help' but there is that thing…he's back and I'm not sure who his first victim is." He leans closer, "it's been months and I can still taste my heart"
Libra was sure she was going to puke her guts out. No, she was positive that she was going to puke. “Y-You can still taste your heart? Isn’t it a bit disgusting? Anyways, if he’s targeting. . wait, do you know if he is targeting the three of us, or is he targeting only one person?”
"I had time to…grasp his mind. He targets everything he thinks can overpower him." His hands glow and he starts waving it in the air. "Like me"
“Right, you are ‘powerful’ enough to ‘overpower’ him. But how does that affect me, of that other girl? As long as I know, we aren’t a threat to him.”
"Are you insinuating that I'm not dangerous?" Isobel asked, her eyes dark, although she wasn't mad. Just stating a fact. She still had yet to murder someone, but she had severely injured several people before.
Libra whipped around, completely surprised to see Isobel standing there. “Woah, since when did you get here?” She paused and put a finger to her chin, while frowning. “No, I’m not saying that you’re not dangerous. . I’m just saying we aren’t much of a threat to that guy.”
