Quinn had worried over Ollie. He couldn’t hear a thing. This was why he hated bars. The people were noisy, the drinks got too strong…
He had gotten up and paced around for a long time before he decided to jump into the shower and actually do something. Now he was back on the couch, scrolling through his transferred contacts with a sad sigh. He blocked both of his parents numbers.
Ollie slowly made his way up the stairs, exhausted and mentally drained. He yawned and rubbed at his eyes, pulling the jumper closer around his body as he headed for the living room. He hoped Quinn wouldn't notice the bruises but knew he would.
Quinn looked up at the sound of footsteps coming up the stairs. When Ollie was in his line of sight, Quinn jumped up happily, opening his arms up. “Ollie!” He grinned wide and gestures for Ollie to come closer.
He immediately noticed, however, that something was not right.
Ollie offered a small smile back, sighing softly as he walked closer, "H-Hey.. sorry I was… gone for longer then I-I thought."
Quinn cupped Ollie’s face the moment he could reach him, frowning. “What’s wrong? Did he hurt you again?” Ollie’s tone was enough for Quinn to know what happened. “Where did he hurt you?” Quinn looked absolutely livid, tugging at Ollie’s shirt. “You need to report your dad…”
Ollie pushed Quinn’s hands away from him when he tugged at the shirt, swallowing and placing his head on the other chest, “It-It’s nothing, Quinn… I’m fine it’s not… it‘s not the worst he’s ever done…”
With this new view Quinn could see a little bit of the marks on Ollie’s neck. He tugged the collar of the shirt down and growled in anger. “It’s not fine! This isn’t okay! Look what he did to your neck! Ollie… he hurt you…”
Ollie lifted the collar back up, leaving his hands there as if it would make Quinn forget what he saw, "He's hurt me before. It doesn't matter… no big deal."
“It does matter!!” He grabbed Ollie’s wrists tightly and pulled him closer. “You’ll die in this bar if you stay!!”
Ollie tugged at his wrists, Quinn's grip slightly too tight for him and he hoped he got the message to at least loosen this grip, "Q-Quinn…"
His grip did loosen, but he didn’t let Ollie go. “I hate it! I hate seeing you hurt! I hate that I can’t do anything… I don’t even know what I’m supposed to be doing.”
"Q-Quinn… there's nothing you can do…" He said quietly, "I-If you get involved you'll get hurt… a-and I don't want that."
“I don’t give a fuck if I’m hurt! All I care is that you’re safe. You think I don’t know anything about abuse like this but I do! I know you’re not okay! And I know you know that this isn’t okay!” Quinn’s eyes began to water. He slumped slightly, resting his head on Ollie’s shoulder.
Ollie bit his lip, slowly wrapping his arms around Quinn, “I’m 18 soon… the school year is nearly over… I-I just have to deal with it until then… i-it’s not right… but I’m used to it.”
“You shouldn’t be used to it.” He whimpered, his voice cracking. “Please… get through it… graduate so we can leave together…”
“I’m going to.” Ollie hid his face in Quinn’s chest, relaxing slightly as the exhaustion caught up on him, “I’m going to…”
Quinn murmured something incomprehensible in reply, scooping Ollie up suddenly and wandering into Ollie’s room. “I want to take a nap, and you look tired.”
Ollie wrapped his legs around Quinn's waist, letting out a soft gasp of surprise. He wanted to ask about what he said before but was too tried to do so.
Ollie was laid gently in the bed, soon followed by a teary-eyed Quinn. The larger male wrapped his arms around the smaller of the pair, tugging him close. “I love you Ollie…” he murmured.
Ollie yawned softly, snuggling into Quinn and hiding himself in the other male's embrace, "I love you too…" He whispered. Quinn was so warm and strong, he wished he could stay like this forever.
Quinn pressed his face into Ollie’s hair, staring at the wall directly in front of him and sighing softly. “Get some rest… you need it.”
"Y-You need it too…" He mumbled, already starting to slowly drift off to sleep. The bruises on his neck were very visible now and it was clear Ollie was ignoring how bad it actually was.
Quinn’s eyes narrowed at the bruises. He slid his hand down to Ollie’s back and rubbed soft circles there.
He would wait until Ollie had fallen asleep to take another peek at the bruises.
It didn't take long for the small boy to fall asleep, the exhaustion finally making him drift off into sleep. He was calm, probably because Quinn was there.
Quinn was glad for the trust Ollie put in him. It made him feel wanted once again. He craved that more than anything at the moment…
He looked over Ollie’s injuries as best as he could, still greatly upset at the bruises around his neck. Quinn debated taking photos and turning the man into the police… no. That wouldn’t be enough. He would need video footage of the abuse. Something to make sure Ollie’s father never got to touch or even see Ollie ever again.
Quinn didn’t sleep that night.
Ollie spent fairly peacefully, only waking up a couple times in the night due to nightmares. He settled down pretty quickly, though, comforted by the presence of Quinn. When the morning finally came, the small boy didn't want to wake up, cuddling into Quinn more even though he knew he had school.
Quinn sighed deeply and gently nudged Ollie as the morning hours started to tick closer to school time. “Ollie, come on, love. You need to get up for school.” He murmured softly, kissing Ollie’s face.
Quinn was dreading school… He considered just dropping out of it, it would be much simpler to do so. He wouldn’t have to deal with his parents at any time. No slips to sign, no tuition to worry over… “I’ll walk you down to the school”
Ollie whined softly, rubbing his eyes with the back of his hands, "Do I have to go? What are you gonna do? You have school too, right?"
“Yes you do have to go…” he murmured, suddenly going unusually quiet at the questions. He played with Ollie’s hair, staring at his hand instead of looking at his love in the face. “I’m thinking of dropping out.”
Ollie sat up suddenly, moving so he was sitting on top of Quinn in his lap and looking down at him, "You can't! What about going to collage or.. or university and getting a job and a career?"
