“I do like it. I like it a lot.” Quinn hurried to snatch up more bags than Ollie so the other didn’t have to carry a lot in. “I got these, now let’s head in.”
“I do like it. I like it a lot.” Quinn hurried to snatch up more bags than Ollie so the other didn’t have to carry a lot in. “I got these, now let’s head in.”
Ollie tried to protest, knowing he could take the bags but knew there was no point in even trying, "Yeah… let's go." He sighed, a kernel of dread in his gut before he walked the rest of the way to the bar.
Quinn followed close behind Ollie, a bright grin on his face. He felt like he truly belonged with Ollie and he loved that. Even if the sight of the bar made his stomach queasy, Quinn could bear it to stay with his love.
As they entered, no one seemed to pay any attention to the two, much to Ollie's liking. His dad was in the corner, conversing with two other big men and didn't see them. Ollie was glad of that, and led Quinn up to the apartment.
Quinn had subconsciously ducked his head, avoiding anyone who might have even glanced their way. No one really did. He felt relieved to notice that. Quinn grabbed Ollie’s hand and sighed deeply.
Once the two were back up in the apartment, Ollie placed the bags onto the dining room table before collapsing on the nearest couch. He didn't bother to unpack the stuff, he'd do it later.
Quinn set down his own bags and sauntered over to Ollie. He threw himself down onto the couch, smiling at Ollie.
Ollie groaned slightly, moving so his body was draped over the taller male's lap. He was ready to take a nap.
Quinn laughed at that, immediately tangling his fingers in Ollie's hair. He felt elated after his confession, more than happy that Ollie felt the same. "Are you alright there?" He asked teasingly, bending down to steal a quick kiss.
Ollie hummed softly, leaning into Quinn's touches and kissing him back, closing his eyes with a sigh, "I wanna take a nap. And you're comfy."
“Then take a nap, love. I can do what you need done for today.” He stared lovingly down at the other, his hands playing in Ollie’s hair.
Ollie shook his head a little, "Can't… dad might actually kill me if I don't get down into the bar soon."
“I wouldn’t let him kill you. He’d have to fight me first.” Quinn grumbled, his face going sour at the thought of Ollie’s dad. “He can’t keep you here forever.”
"He's certainly going to try, though," Ollie mumbled, face softening at the thought, "And he's bigger then me… he could…"
“He won’t.” Quinn growled, puffing himself up. “I won’t let him. I love you too much. He’s not going to get to have you.”
He peaked an eye open, blushing lightly, "You promise?"
“I promise. He won’t even get to touch you.” Quinn huffed, pouting as he thought over it all.
"I… I don't know about the second part of that…" He said quietly.
Quinn dipped down to press kisses all across Ollie’s face. “You’ll see soon… he won’t be able to control you. I’ll make sure of that. And if I can’t keep him from touching you, then I’m going to give you love every day and every night so you forget he hurt you.”
Ollie hid his face in Quinn's chest, wrapping his arm around his waist and holding on tightly, "Thank you.."
Quinn hugged Ollie back, smiling down at him. “Anything for you.”
Ollie sighed softly, snuggling into Quinn a little more. He never wanted to leave his embrace, not ever.
Quinn gave him a little squeeze before he pulled Ollie up for a kiss, smiling softly.
Ollie gladly let Quinn steal a kiss, melting into it in a matter of moments.
Quinn hummed happy, bringing the other closer. This was the happiest he had been in the last few days of his trials. Ollie gave him life.
Ollie pulled back a few moments later, sighing softly, "I've gotta head to work. Will you be okay up here for a couple hours? I mean you can leave if you want but still…"
Quinn sighed sadly and buried his face in Ollie’s neck. “I’ll be alright up here. But if I hear anything I’m coming right down to help you.”
Ollie nodded, climbing off of Quinn's lap, "Okay, I'll be back soon." He offered a small smile before he hurried off downstairs.
“Please stay safe.” He murmured, blowing a kiss to Ollie. He sighed sadly as the other hurried off, laying down on the couch and throwing an arm over his eyes.
They both were in such a bad position.
Ollie ended up working fairly late, longer then he had intended. The crowd end up becoming extremely busy, and very loud. It was hard to tell what was verbal abuse from his had and what was just drunk men and women. The abuse went undetected from most people, and it wasn't audible to Quinn since it was so loud.
By the end of the night, he had accumulated an array of bruises and cuts from broken glasses, being thrown around trying to get through a crowd. His dad did choke him, though, leaving a harsh bruise around his neck which he tried to cover as he walked back up the stairs. His dad had ended up leaving with a friend, so Ollie doubted he'd be back tonight.
