Levi bent down in front of him. "Get on. You can sleep on the way there. I kind of regret bringing my car though…" he laughed lightly.
Levi bent down in front of him. "Get on. You can sleep on the way there. I kind of regret bringing my car though…" he laughed lightly.
Marco agreed simply out of exhaustion, but instead made it easy by allowing himself to shift into a mouse at his feet.
Levi took Marco and held him in the hands as they walked. "You had me worried you know. I thought I would never find you again. If I made you mad or uncomfortable in any way please tell me tomorrow. I know you're tired right now so you don't have to answer. "I'm sorry because I know it was my fault you ran away. I was too sudden and I get that. I was just glad that I got to finally meet you that I got excited. If it was anyone else, they would probably leave and tell me to back off and never see them again. So, I'm glad I found you. In the morning you'll probably run away again and I won't be able to find you again. You'll be lost forever. So please don't run away. I'm begging you. I know I've begged a lot, I just…I just don't want to lose you again."
Marco barely heard him, close to just passing out in his hands.
"He didn't even hear me~" he felt depressed the rest of the way home. He put him in the bed and laid next to him. "You're such a pain!"
Marco had passed out in his hold about fifteen minutes later, cold, tired, and emotionally drained.
He fell asleep as well holding his tight and putting the covers over them. When he woke up he opened the blinds next to his bed and sat up. "Time to get ready for school!" he poked Marco a couple of times. "Time to get up~"
Marco was still passed out on his bed, too tired to even shift back, sleeping more deeply than he normally did.
He sighed and started getting dressed doing things he usually did before school and eating breakfast alone. As usual. He got his stuff together and picked up Marco, putting him on his shoulder. He walked to school and made sure to keep Marco wrapped in his scarf.
That may or may not have been a bad idea, but we'll see. Either way Marco was still unconscious.
During his classes he kept Marco in his desk, making sure to keep him hidden. Levi checked on him to make sure he was okay. He sometimes stroked his head, but then soon stopped not wanting him to get scared again.
Marco started to wake up near the end of Levi's last class before lunch, his ears and tail twitching tiredly.
He felt his hand move and opened his hand to see Marco. "Good morning!" he smiled. "You slept for half the day."
Marco looked up at him shyly, before looking away again, but coming back a moment later, confused on where he was.
"Hey can you shirt into something bigger so I don't have to worry bout dropping you?" Levi tilted his head.
Marco gave him an anxious squeak, still not sure where he was as he complied, shifting into a midsized lizard. What type? He wasn't sure. But he'd seen them in pet stores.
"A cat would be best. If they see I'm holding a lizard they might think it's from the science lab…" he whispered, walking to go sit down with the food be bought.
Marco shifted back into a mouse, pressing back into Levi's palm, his mind racing as he tried to figure out where he was, listening to all the voices around them.
"Oh and sorry for bringing you to school on such notice. I just figured you wouldn't want to be left alone at the house. You might get scared and wonder why I'm not there or you might run away again and I wouldn't want that." He began to eat. "Want some?"
Marco squeaked nervously. School was worse than being left at his house, too many people, too many bullies…. too… too many bad memories…
"Don't worry it's almost over and then we can talk when we get back okay?" Levi ran his fingers across his back. "He ate his food. "Don't run away please!"
Marco trembled slightly under his touch, his blue and black fur puffed up with anxiety.
“Hey, hey, hey, listen you’ll be alright. I’m here for you okay. No one is going to hurt you only I know that your here. No one will take you away from me okay?” Levi rested his head on the table and looked at him.
Marco just gave another squeak of fear, feeling small and helpless. Not a good combo. Plus with what he did to the other yesterday….
He was on the verge of some kind of anxiety attack.
"Marco!" he yelled his name. "Look at me. Don't look around just look at me okay?" he whispered.
Marco focused on him, but the loud calling of his name onl served to make it worse as he crouched back into his palm.
“Sorry for yelling like that. I just need you to stop being so jumpy. I know your probably traumatized, but look around and tell me if there is anyone looking at you.”
Marco whimpered softly, and just shook his head. He needed to talk to him, and he couldn't do that without shifting back and he couldn't shift back in front of everyone here!
“Just so you know. No one is thinking about hurting you because they just think your my pet. Would you like to go somewhere more quiet?” He asked.
That sentence was actually borderline offensive, but Marco nodded in response to his question, ears and tail twitchiung nervously.
