"Probably… Um. I-I don't really know where home is, though." Lupus pulled himself to his paws, shaking his head to clear it.

"Don't worry, we'll find your home," Adolfa assured the pup, "For now, would you like to ride on my back?" she offered.

"Er, okay." He climbed onto Adolfa's back and lay down. He didn't take up much space, so he didn't feel too bad about not walking.

"There you go," Adolfa nuzzled the pup, "You be sure to have a good rest, Lupus. You're just a pup and you've been up for a long time," she soothed. Adolfa turned back to Sofie and Lia, "Lead the way," she nodded to them, allowing whichever one who wanted to to start the trek.

I turned to look at Adolfa and Lupus. The little pup reminded me of my family. I turned away before I could think anymore. “Okay,” I said, determined, “This way.” I rotted forwards, towards the forest.

Lupus eventually fell asleep, his paws dangling off of Adolfa's back.

Adolfa softly smiled when she felt the small pup fall asleep on her back. She trotted after Sofie, stopping at times to make sure Lupus didn't fall off her back.

“So, Lia. Where do you live?”

Lia flicked her tail, "A hallowed out tree not far from the river bank"

“Oh, me too. I hope it’s not the same tree…”

"I doubt it the opening can only be reached by climbing the tree and it's barely large enough for me to enter."

“Oh okay, good. Are you guys hungry? I’m hungry. Let’s find something to eat.”
